Shahanshah — Restaurant in London

The food quality at this restaurant is good; however, hygiene standards leave much to be desired. The establishment requires a thorough cleaning, as it is currently quite unhygienic. Additionally, the staff responsible for food handling lack cleanliness themselves. During my visit, I had to request a change of gloves for one staff member who was handling food with her hands and not using appropriate clamps. She was wearing a torn glove. Despite changing gloves, the waitress, who also acts as the receptionist, took another order over the phone and handled cash before packing my order, which was quite off-putting. Consequently, I decided to cancel my order.

It's evident that the owners need to prioritize management and provide staff with adequate training. There is a noticeable lack of professionalism in how staff interact with customers and present themselves. Furthermore, inappropriate language, including cursing, can be overheard from the kitchen, which is particularly concerning for families dining in. Tables are often left dirty, and exposed food is not adequately covered. Tasty vegetarian dishes & variety of nice sweets are served . Parking can be a problem. 29.1.23 In winter the self assisted doors with cold air blowing in makes it uncomfortable to sit & dine in. Allowing non customers to walk in from the street outside to use the toilets 🚻 is not a good idea! 6.5.23 Tasty food. Food quality has gone down since the new owners have taken over, the Indian sweet choice is terrible now, but the service at the front and customer service is horrendous, I can't believe they put a rude Singh at the front who is so rude and abrupt and doesn't take down orders properly or correctly, If he did what he was meant to there wouldnt be a queue and people would be happy to come more often but him being there is such a put off, I've heard the same thing from family members living locally, a lot of friends and family have unfortunately started to go a few shops down from Shenshah, they are excellent all round no complaints there.
