I love coming to Maharaja's! I've always had so many nice things to say about this place but today, they let me down. I ordered a lot of food to take home and one cup of tea. The place was busy, there was no were to monuver. After waiting 20 minutes for my order my order was ready. The tea was placed on the desk and as I went to pick it up, the lid which was not securely placed, broke and my tea spilt everywhere including all over my daughter's arm! My instant reaction was to look after my child so as I did this I stepped out. Thankfully she was fine with no burns as the tea was scolding. When I went in to collect my order, I said to the uncle, "could you get me another tea please?" Only to be responded with, "no you have to buy another one!" Now, I've just spent £25+ in your store and the tea spilt in your store I hadn't even taken it out, it nearly burnt my daughter and you have the nerve to tell me to buy another tea??! I am so disappointed- it's tea, I'm sure they have a whole pot brewing in the back. Noone asked if my daughter was ok, no one checked to see if we were ok, and he told me to pay for another cha despite the lid not being on properly. I didn't say anything there mainly because I was shocked and really disappointed. Back to Shansha I go, won't be back...

Absolutely disgusting quality, I came here to buy Pakoras after being recommended this place by a friend, however the pakoras were uncooked and like liquid inside, so took them back to get changed however the guy behind the counter sent them back for recooking and gave me back after 1 minute still not cooked, I rejected them and he then returned my money in a huff and a puff, my daughter told me I should have asked him to eat them. I am quite shocked to see that a well established shop in Southall is sending out pakoras like this and potentially causing food poisoning to people, I would request the owner to have an open mind and listen to his customers feedback rather than return money in a huff and a puff thinking he is...

Ordered on justeat for collection. When I went there the staff serving at the till didn’t even understand what I was on about. He initially thought I was a courier driver and kept saying accept the order online. I was so confused. He couldn’t understand because of the language barrier. This was okay. I got my food after waiting for a good 20 minutes , to come home and find out part of the order was missing. We called the restaurant and again the guy couldn’t understand and kept saying he gave us whatever was on our order. To be honest , we were very disappointed. Please bring staff that can actually speak English...

Update 27/02/2022: I now buy the paneer spring rolls from here. They are very tasty. Haven't decided to try the samosas again though. The mithai is also very good and they have a good variety. The restaurant itself is very busy at weekend lunchtime. The uncle and staff are very nice and polite. Decided to try Maharaja's as heard they were good. I usually go to the place a few doors down but, thought try somewhere new. Very disappointing, not to my taste. The samosa was big, the pastry chewy and the filling had too much red chilli powder. The jalebi's were over cooked, flat and too sweet.

I went there a few days ago for the first time. I was looking to buy some curries which I would later eat when I warm up at home I got a Sag Alou curry and also a mixed vegetable curry along with four vegetable samosas and four vegetable spring rolls. Although both the curries were very nice I thought a little expensive as they were the small containers instead of for the larger ones and I was charged £5 for each container I was also disappointed with the vegetable samosas as I didn’t think they were particularly that great but the spring rolls were nice.
