Went there for lunch on Saturday.
As soon as we walked in, we could see all the fresh food and we were welcomed by very friendly staff.
We took a small corner table at the beginning and ordered the food. The waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly and took the time to explain to me the difference between the 2 dishes I was oscillating between so I could order the best one. We felt like the table we were at was a bit too small for us, so when we saw a slightly bigger one was becoming available, we asked if we could have that one. The waitress was very accommodating and as soon as the previous customers left, she cleaned that table and within 5 minutes we had switched tables.
Once the food came, we were pleasantly surprised by the quantity. I went for a mezza platter for one which came with a choice of 3 savoury pasties and pitta bread, whilst my fiancé went for a Sidra breakfast and a cappuccino. The dishes had a little bit of everything and they were incredibly tasty.
This is a bit of a hidden gem and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone. 5 ⭐...
Read moreI was not happy with the reaction I encountered at Sidra Twickenham when I entered as a customer. When we entered to buy kibbah, we asked for it to be heated. While waiting, I wanted to convey a situation that I thought was not hygienic at all. I noticed that the same spoon was used in two different products and I wanted to express this. However, I was a little surprised when the employee said "maybe, what's wrong with that". Because according to hygiene rules, I said that I thought there could be an allergic situation. A spoon used in hummus was in a tomato mixture. In order to send me out of the store as soon as possible, she took out the kibbahs that he had put in the oven to heat up before the time was up and gave them to me. I had to leave there with cold food that was not heated inside. It was a saddening experience for me. I guess it was a difficult day for the employees. I think it is a place that does not care about customer satisfaction and hygiene. I think they should...
Read moreExtremely well-located Lebanese restaurant - at the heart of Twickenham’s high street area.
I mostly opt for takeaways. The restaurant is small but cosy. The food is delicious with a large vegetarian selection.
Busy at all hours but the staff is mostly friendly! I liked the dishes, the crockery and the place has a buzz during the day, especially on weekends.
On a recent dine-in we tried the yoghurt & cucumber starter dish, a couple of vegetarian wraps and a Meze platter for one - which was especially good value for even two people, if accompanied with a selection of 3 or so savouries!
Tasty food and at good value. The staff are friendly and cordial, but the service isn’t exemplary - if only because the place is really busy at most times and staff are busier with the preparation. Even so, it’s the kind of local diner you’d find yourself visiting fairly frequently. I...
