Twickenham Tandoori, Indian Restaurant, Twickenham — Restaurant in London

I have ordered many takeaways from Twickenham tandoori but tonight really shocked that we found a piece of metal and a hair in our takeaway tonight. Phoned the restaurant and all they could say was because we ordered via Uber we need to complain to them. Utterly disgusted with the response and the lack of seriousness that has been taken to this issue. Guys this is a real environmental health issue - take it seriously please.

Update 30/12 in response to TT response. The hair is most definitely brown/black and the wire for clarification is silver! When I phoned I did not ask for fresh dishes or a refund and have not asked this from Uber either who have a record of my correspondence and have assured me they are going to investigate this issue, as you so vehemently directed me to them on the night claiming it was not your problem. The one thing in the food industry which is paramount is alien objects in your food, you guys failed on this, please recognise, take accountability and address. I don’t want refunds or alternative dishes, I just want to make sure future customers do not have the same repulsive...

I have used this restaurant several times, and have previously found it to be good value. However, last weekend's visit was a different story. The chutneys accompanying the poppadums were bland and very runny. To follow, our reshmi kebab and sheek kebab starters were delivered. The reshmi was fine, but the sheek kebab was ridiculously over spiced. Moving on to the main course, the two rice portions were almost cold, and so the whole meal was returned. When it arrived back, it has clearly all been microwaved to a super high heat, and placed on a hot plate (which they did not bother with when first delivering the meal). The chicken tikka massala was bland, and had very few small bland pieces of chicken. The lamb dish was similarly poor, with small scraps of meat. We've tried Twickenham Tandoori many times before and always liked the dishes. However last time will be the last time. When finding a metal wire (seriously!) and a hair in the takeaway, we gave them a ring... they said it wasn't their problem as we had ordered through Uber! They implied we were making it up and said it had nothing to do with them.

The atrocious customer service was really the worst. They ruined a Christmas Eve meal with not a single apology but rather an argumentative chap showing no care to reputation or health and safety

The hair is definitely dark brown / black but don't worry if you want to dispute who it belongs to because we've kept both the hair and the wire to pass onto environmental health.
