I recently visited Spread Eagle in Camden for a Sunday roast, and I must say, it was an absolutely fantastic experience. From the delicious food to the charming atmosphere, it was a memorable outing for both me and my friends.

The highlight of the visit was undoubtedly the food. The Sunday roast at Spread Eagle was simply amazing. Every bite was a burst of flavors, and the quality of the ingredients was evident. It's safe to say that this place knows how to do a roast right!

What made the experience even better was the dog-friendly environment. As a bulldog owner, I appreciate establishments that welcome our furry friends, and Spread Eagle did just that. My bulldog had a blast and was treated with kindness by the staff.

Speaking of the staff, they were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our visit. Their warm and welcoming service added to the overall positive vibe of the pub.

In addition to the great food and friendly staff, Spread Eagle has a lovely ambiance. It's a quintessential British pub with character and charm, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing Sunday outing with friends and family.

Overall, my visit to Spread Eagle in Camden was a delightful experience. The combination of delicious food, a dog-friendly atmosphere, and attentive staff made it a memorable day for all of us. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great Sunday roast and a pleasant...

So we came to this pub on coronation day after reading the reviews, also I had gone there many years back, and remembered a nice experience. The initial service was lovely and so was the mains we ordered especially the fish and chips, one of the best I’ve had. We then made the mistake of ordering deserts, which took almost one h to get to our table. When we prompted the waitress she drugged saying it was a busy day and they were probably coming. Deserts were average, especially the rhubarb and apple crumble tasted of something else, very savoury and almost oniony. When it was time to pay we went to the bar and once asked to evenly split the bill the curly haired lady at the bar stated the she was “not a calculator”, we had already calculated for ourselves the amount but felt her response was so out of line we did not say anything. This last event really ruined an experience that would have been lovely thus far, despite the deserts. Nowadays as a member of waiting staff either you get out your own phone and calculate it, or you KINDLY ask the customer to do it. Some POS give options for splitting the bills automatically as well, management might wanna consider buying one and maybe training their staff to have...

I rented the upstairs private room at the Spread Eagle for my husband's birthday party on Sunday afternoon, May 11th. I am incredibly grateful to the staff at the Spread Eagle for making the event run smoothly. We were never wanting for food or drink service, and they were all very friendly and attentive. Thanks to the amazing staff, I was able to relax and enjoy the party without any concerns. Since it was a Sunday, there was a choice of a roast lunch as well as the weekly pub menu. The roast lunch was delicious, and the weekly pub menu offered a great variety. Everyone absolutely loved the food and couldn't stop complimenting it. The staff went above and beyond by allowing us to bring our own cake and even lending us a knife. There were 16 people, including two toddlers and a baby. The space was perfect for our needs, and the children had a wonderful time playing without disturbing other customers. This is the second time I've rented the space, as I had my own birthday party there last year. If that's not a recommendation, I don't know what is! We had a fantastic time and will definitely recommend this...

The venue is great and the staff are lovely but unfortunately the food is bad. I ordered the sausages, mash and gravy and was absolutely shocked by the gravy. It was genuinely stock water, it was clear, thin and flavourless and it was like pouring water onto my meal (see pic). Mash wasn’t great either. Sausages were great. I asked a waitress if the kitchen could thicken it up or make some new gravy and the chef just put cornstarch or flour into it making it clumpy! It shocked us all that the chef couldn’t make a gravy and it’s actually embarrassing. I ended up using ketchup to just sauce up the meal. The steak sandwich was super dry, the steak was just so well done and dry. I’d probably come in for drinks again but never again for food unfortunately.

Enjoyed a wonderful Sunday roast. Had reserved a spectacular table next to the window where we could watch all the happenings on the street. Our server was pleasant. She gave us attentive service to begin with and then allowed us to sit and enjoy the evening. The chicken was excellent. The beef had a pleasant taste, but it was tough to chew. The cheesy cauliflower was delicious! Overall, we had a wonderful experience! We would definitely come back again!

Pretty decent pub. My vegan burger was very good, even if it was very small. The food of my mate was okay but nothing special. Drinks as well, but my first beer tasted very weird (maybe from cleaning the glasses). The second one (Guinness) was even better. Prices are also okay, pretty similar to other London pubs nearby.
