Came here on Sat 10th Feb 24 for my friend's birthday meal. I found this place on Instagram and my friend decided to check it out. Undaunted by the reviews, she was particularly swayed by the pictures of the food and iconic location given its by Tower Bridge.
The restaurant itself is small but is decorated nicely. Nice atmosphere and ambience. DJ plays good music 🎶 at a reasonable volume so you can still talk/enjoy conversation.
We were seen to quite quickly but were waiting for other folks to arrive. At least we can say service was attentive.
For my drink, I tried the Non- Alcoholic, Spice Panoma. Seeing as it had Grapefruit in, I thought it would be a nice refreshing citrus drink. Whilst I thought the drink was OK and could taste the Grapefruit, it had a weird/unusual herbal essence to it which took away from enjoying the drink.
Starters I had the Chicken and Shrimp Nam Rolls - Good portion size and tasty. The side sauce, couldn't really taste anything. Would have been better with some Sweet Chilli sauce or Seasame Oil.
Chicken Satay was delivered cold to one of our party who asked if it was supposed to be served cold? The hostess insisted no and took it back to the kitchen. Did take a few minutes for a replacement but when it came back out, it was hot.
On to main course. I decided to try the Singapore Chilli Lobster - Half as I wanted try something different. Not worth the £25 at all. I felt cheated. Shell covering a claw or two for decoration and maybe 4 bites of white meat from the Lobster 🦞 and that's it. I felt short changed. Not value for money at all. The sauce that accompanied the dish was delicious and the Crispy Bao Bun was nice. I still felt hungry though.
Others enjoyed their food, one had Fried Rice. Birthday girl had the Massaman Lamb Shank which she enjoyed but said wasn't enough potato. Considering the amount of money main courses are, perhaps work on portion sizes and serving a good all round plate of food, not just protein and finger of half a potato/grain of rice/fat dumpling to compensate for lack of something else.
Moving on to desserts. The birthday girl tried the Sticky Mango 🥭 which she said she found sickly sweet. I asked her how the Black Sticky Rice tasted, to which she described as tasting like Coco Pops which made me laugh 😃.
I had the Chocolate Macaron. Presentation was on point. Good size. Delicious 😋. Coffee flavour was nice. Couldn't really taste the Condensed Milk Ice cream but overall very tasty dessert.
Someone had the Spiced Ginger Sponge Pudding - enjoyed. No complaints.
Overall a nice evening. Good food but questionable portion sizes and value for money.
Service charge was discretionary but £19 for group of four people we felt was a bit much so we politely declined and didn't leave anything.
Would we come again? Probably not, but nice for a one off experience.
Easy to find, walk towards Tower Bridge, when you get to the underpass, wall through and walk to the end of the cobbled street where you will see the kitchen and sign for Sticky Mango then turn left under the arch and location is on the left. Great view for taking pictures of...

This Tower Bridge branch adds one major bonus: a stunning riverside view that elevates the entire experience.
If you’re lucky enough to snag a window or outdoor seat here, you’ll get front-row views of Tower Bridge — and that alone makes this spot feel extra special.
Ambience & Location This branch is slightly smaller than the one in Waterloo, but its unbeatable location makes up for it. Whether you’re seated indoors by the window or outdoors, you’ll have a full view of the iconic Tower Bridge — especially lovely at golden hour and even more magical at night. The atmosphere strikes a great balance: modern and stylish, calm without being too quiet, and the staff were all genuinely warm and attentive.
Since I was dining solo this time, I only ordered a few dishes — but each one was a hit:
🍤 Black Pepper Prawns A perfect starter. The slight kick of black pepper with the tangy sweetness of pineapple makes this dish punchy and incredibly moreish.
🥟 Malaysian Chicken Curry Puffs Tiny in size but packed with flavour! The pastry was beautifully crisp and flakey, the chicken filling deeply spiced and warming. Paired with a refreshing dip, this is a must-try.
🍣 Crispy Salmon Sashimi A great twist on a classic — the torched salmon melts in your mouth, while the crispy rice base adds satisfying texture. Visually striking and full of contrast in every bite.
📌 Tips ① Book in advance, especially if you’re hoping for a window or terrace seat on the weekend. ② Portion sizes are great for sharing — I’d recommend ordering a few dishes between two or more. ③ Leave room for dessert — I didn’t have space this time but their cake counter looked very tempting!
Sticky Mango is one of those places you’ll be thinking about long after you’ve left. From Malaysian street food bites to fusion small plates, every dish reflects the chef’s creativity and attention to detail. Perfect for anyone who wants a meal that’s special, beautifully presented, and...
Read moreSticky Mango has been on my must-visit list for ages, and I finally made a reservation! The location was absolutely stunning, from the beautifully decorated outdoor terrace facing Tower Bridge to the bright and floral interiors that were meticulously curated. We settled at our table and ordered a nice bottle of Muscadet while browsing the menu, which looked incredibly tempting. Since we were using First Table and scoring 50% off our food bill, we decided to treat ourselves to a few extra dishes that we probably wouldn’t have ordered otherwise. We started with some appetizers, including the spicy tuna tartare spring roll, which was a delightful surprise, the flavours and fresh citrus were perfectly balanced, making it a must-try! The chicken and shrimp Nam rolls were crispy and packed with flavor. I also loved the black pepper prawns; the sauce was amazing, and pairing it with dried pineapple was spot on. We couldn’t resist the spicy Thai pork ribs, which were a bit too spicy for my taste, but we polished off every last bite! For mains, my friend chose the Gochujang pork belly served with bao buns to assemble yourself, and she absolutely loved it. I went for the miso-glazed black cod, which was both delicate and flavorful, complemented perfectly by the pickled daikon. Even though we were pretty full, we couldn’t leave without trying dessert. We opted for the spiced ginger sponge pudding. So delicious! and the roasted black sesame soup, which I was curious about and ended up loving. The entire experience was top-notch! We wrapped up our evening sipping on some great Nikka whiskey while enjoying the view from the terrace. I have to say, Sticky Mango is now one of my favourite restaurants ever, and I can’t...
