Awful. My coffee had dead flies in it.
The waiter tried to convince me they had flown in there and died from the time it took him to walk from the counter to the table. He then patronised me when I didn’t want to drink a dead insect latte. He didn’t re make it.
The sandwiches are advertised as being baguettes. There are pictures of baguettes on the menu, in the window, all over the café. What arrived was just cheap sliced bread. The bacon was fatty and not cooked well. The chicken was precooked and dry. No side salad or garnish. Just a bread sandwich with poor quality ingredients.
They didn’t even offer any sauces for the chips. Had to get up and get them and they were the cheap Litchfield brand.
Pathetic. A complete rip off. It’s a cheap, greasy spoon on the high street overcharging for what they offer.
Check your food for insects and bugs.
I imagine they make you pay at the counter and not at the end of your meal because there’s less chance you’ll complain. Avoid...
Read moreCame for lunch, order placed at the till and 5 minutes later said the order had not gone through their till despite it coming out of our bank account and asked to pay again. Showed him proof of it coming out and asked for a declined receipt which he couldn’t give me. Just kept telling me it will come back in my bank the next day and trying to show me his orders for the day, to say mine wasn’t there. I asked for his contact number to call as we aren't local to come back, if the money didn’t return, which it didn’t. The number he gave me was fake, google didn’t populate any numbers and the only one that did was in china. No answer when calling the cafe direct. A week later raised a dispute with the bank and was paid out. The man who served us and the lady were less than helpful and as far as I’m concerned, knew exactly what he was doing. Would advise paying in cash so they don’t try and...
Read moreVisited the Stonehenge Café in Bromley High Street for my first time today and was impressed by the extensive menu and quick, friendly service for such a quite small place in such a prominent place in Bromley's High Street, directly opposite Primark. Although there is seating inside, the best seats are undoubtedly the ones outside under the awning and large umbrella. There you are able to watch the world pass by in comfort and out of the bad weather, all surrounded by tasteful temporary walls topped with beautiful boxes full of classy flowers, while you are enjoying your excellent food and coffee or other drink. Today I visited the Stonehenge Café again and was again very pleased with the quality of the food and especially the coffee, but also the friendly and quick service. Top ratings from me and probably from all the other customers I saw enjoying...
