Ordered a large chicken shish for takeaway. Having just eaten it, I have to say that it was fairly mediocre. In fact, it was nothing special at all. Quite the opposite. The portion was not large. Only the price was large. £14. The chicken was quite firm and dry. The salad was a tiny portion in a quite small plastic container, which was just thrown into the bag almost as an afterthought. Also dropped into the bag were two tiny containers of sauce. One chilli sauce and one bland garlic (I think) sauce. It didn't add to the flavour. Thankfully, I refused the offer of rice, which I am certain would have cost extra, and by the look of it would have only added to my dissatisfaction. I have eaten in and had takeaways from many different Turkish restaurants over the years and found that this visit to Sufi was a very disappointing and expensive experience. I also don't think this is Turkish. I will not be visiting again. Hopefully, I won't be suffering the same after-effects as some of the other reviewers on here. The other reviews I have read are so vastly different that you might think they were about two different restaurants. Or else that some people have very low expectations and more money than sense. I cannot, in all honesty, recommend this restaurant to anyone. There are far better ones out there, and they are far better value for money...
Read moreI don't know where to start ultimately I thought this place look authentic like a family owned traditional Turkish restaurant but how wrong was I, it was nothing but regret the moment we walked in. When entering I asked a gentleman behind the counter if they accepted card as payment as I am aware some small businesses do not accept he rudely answered and pointed. I did not understand what he said but the another gentlemen I believe to be the chef was very polite and guided us there and how to order. Upon sitting the place was cold I did not take my jacket off, Me and my friend ordered two wraps one doner and one mix with two large fries with drinks, well both the wrap tasted didgustly cold there was no taste or sense of flavour accept for the realisation of how cold it was. I was so disappointed as this was local to me and I wanted to support local businesses however this will be my first and last time I ever enter...
Read moreWorst Turkish in my life ever. I couldn't sleep coz of it, I woke up just now with my face in the toilet coz of all that acid in my stomach. Couldn't sleep either. The chicken stew was awful, the people who run the restaurant need to go to Crystal in Wood Green and see what real Turkish food is. The rice pudding was some sort of cheap creation of not fully cooked rice and some gelatine agent as there was not enough rice. Nasty Nasty Nasty. For God sake people you are selling food to humans not animals. Keep respect to your own profession and respect for the people. This is another disappointment for me from just eat and I no longer will use this platform as its crime to buy food from here. Oh and there was no salad. Never Never again. I also will review this...
