*** Tiny portions, hair in food, unbelievably rude manager! Avoid! *** I have recently moved to the area and ordered food for collection from Sukho for my visiting family on 5 July 2018. We thought that the prices weren’t cheap but were hoping for some delicious food and always like to support local restaurants. We were absolutely gobsmacked when we opened the containers at home to see that each main dish was barely a few mouthfuls (see image 1). We thought about returning to the restaurant with the (untouched) food but it was late and we had young children who were hungry, so we thought we would have to just live with it. The food was average, at best. My family is Australian and we eat a lot of Asian food but nobody thought that the food was great at all. In particular, the red curry was bland and the tacos were soggy and without any flavour. However, the final straw was when one of the children found a hair in her meal (see image 2). At that point, I called the restaurant and spoke with the manager (Phon). I would be surprised if she even understood what the issues were, given her constant interruptions, but I tried to explain that we were unhappy with the portion sizes, the quality of the food and were shocked to have found a hair in the food. I said that I could bring what was left back to the restaurant but she said that there was “no point” as she “wasn’t going to do anything about it”. Rude and argumentative is putting it mildly. Her explanation for the pitiful portion sizes was that it was “gourmet” food, which frankly is a joke. I mentioned that I would be forced to write a review and was told bluntly that I could “write whatever I liked”, hence this review. Incensed by this call, I made my way back to the restaurant (with my husband and young niece) to get the manager’s details and show her the photographs that we had taken. She took us to the back of the restaurant (no doubt so that I wasn’t overheard by the few remaining customers) where she continued to argue with me and interrupt me as I tried to explain why we weren't happy. I have never experienced such appalling customer service. She repeated (when shown the image of the portion sizes) that it was because the food was “gourmet” and “fine dining” and (when shown the image of the hair in the food, which she barely glanced at) said that it couldn’t have been in there as “Thai people don’t have hair like that”! Right… I was clearly getting nowhere and the manager was becoming increasingly aggressive so I asked for the contact details of the owner, who I will be contacting shortly, and we left. Needless to say, we will not be going back! Long story short: tiny portions, hair in food, average (at best) and over-priced food and unbelievably rude manager. I feel sorry for the rest of the staff. Avoid!

We went to Sukho for dinner and had a really enjoyable evening. It’s a busy spot with a lively atmosphere — it can get quite loud, so I’d recommend booking ahead. We ordered a big spread to share: fishcakes, prawn toast, grilled chicken and prawn skewers, and duck spring rolls. The spring rolls and grilled meat were especially good, though the fishcakes you could probably skip. For mains we had prawn panang curry, green chicken curry, prawn pad thai, coconut sticky rice, and morning glory green beans. Everything was fresh and tasty — lovely food all round. The staff were very friendly and the service was great. It is a little pricier than other Thai places nearby, and while the food was good, I wouldn’t say the quality or experience fully justifies the higher cost.

Today was my third time having lunch in this lovely Thai restaurant. I always go to have lunch with friends. We always greet by friendly staff and I love the Thai traditional interior of the restaurant. Each time of my visit I will try something different. This afternoon I ordered grilled prawns as starter and Fried egg noodles with soft cell crab tempura as main. The food was delicious and the garnish was great. The sauce for the prawns makes it look tempting and appetizing. The soft cell crab tempura was freshly cooked and tasted juicy. Definitely I will go again and have dinner there sometime.

I ordered via Deliveroo and was extremely disappointed, and quite disgusted for what I paid vs. what I received. I ordered a soup, half of which had spilled all over my other dishes - one dish which was uncovered and did not have a proper lid. I ordered the tacos, only to find two completely cracked (and drenched) taco shells which were absolutely completely inedible. It looked as if half of my food had been eaten before it had arrived to me. I ordered a curry. Of course, no rice or additional side. I don't understand - am I supposed to eat curry with a fork and call it a day? If the restaurant is too cheap to provide rice on the side, it must tell you in the menu / ordering process so that you are aware that it comes with nothing. I also ordered a fish, and for 18 pounds, I got a piece of fish the size of my hand with nothing more, again, on the side. For all of this, I paid £53. I am not sure what part of that meal was worth this amount of money. Thank goodness for Deliveroo and their great customer service - they fully refunded me. I eat out a lot. I order out a lot more and I can tell you this was one of the most disgusting / poorly presented/ packaged meals I ever received. Don't even get me started on the price paid vs. the quantity received. I am a busy person and NEVER write reviews bc I have no time but this one was definitely worth the post....

As I live in Fulham, I like to support my local restaurants. Thus, I decided to order take out from Sukho Thai, but it was more like "throw out"!!

The portion sizes were insulting considering the price, as if they were off the child's menu. Furthermore, I found the flavors average at best, not worth the high price.

The quality was questionable. The crab spring rolls tasted old, and the shrimp in the pad thai was old as well. So much so, that I did not eat it and came back the next day to return it.

When I came back the next day, I politely shared to them that the shrimp tasted old, clearly showing them I had not eaten more than a bite. Instead of what normal good owners do, they had the audacity to question my ability to know the quality of their shrimp, and made me feel bad for bringing it back!! What they should have done is simply said, " Our apologies, we can make you another." I was shocked with the bad attitude and horrible customer service. Thus, at that point, I no longer wanted to eat any food from Sukho, and just left.

No wonder, when I had walked by in the past, it is mostly empty!!

Maybe Gordon Ramsey can come in and improve their food, and teach them the customer is always right!

Nuntee Thai Food down the street is 100 times better, with generous portions, delicious food, and...
