Food came within approximately 3 minutes of ordering so clearly nothing is prepared fresh. Asked for sauce to be separate but came on the plate, then was returned to the kitchen and clearly 'scraped and moved' as horseradish remained on my food. Asked for wine to come with food and it arrived after approx 25 mins of eating (food was completed), drinks came after the food also. Beef had lots of fat on (pictured) which wasn't rendered down so wasn't edible and a very small variety of 'seasonal veg' - lots of cabbage and not a lot else. Extra side of potatoes were amazing - highlighting that the potatoes on the main meal are not prepared fresh..was very excited about this meal but ended up leaving without dessert due to the experience...wouldn't recommend...

We had an exceptional dining experience at The Brown Cow in Fulham! The beef roast was absolutely delicious, served with a perfect Yorkshire pudding, crispy potatoes, flavorful parsnips, tender kale, and tasty swede. Every component was cooked to perfection and made for a truly satisfying meal. The vibe in the pub was also fantastic. It had a warm, welcoming atmosphere that made our meal even more enjoyable. Whether you're looking for a cozy spot to relax or a place to enjoy a top-notch roast, The Brown Cow is a must-visit. Highly recommended for anyone in Fulham looking for great food and a lovely ambiance!

A fantastic pub with an upmarket interior tempting you to sit and stay. I had a warm greeting from the wait staff who confirmed for me that the (ve) labelled items were indeed vegan. I went for the 'nduja rigatoni which was excellent: plant based 'nduja which integrates seamlessly into the lovely tomato-ey sauce. Rigatoni was well cooked between soft and al dente. Plant-based burrata provided a cooling soft texture to balance the smoked chilli crumbs - an excellent dish overall. Recommended if you're in the area looking for an easy-going and satisfying pub meal.

Shocked at Chef's behaviour

I just came from Brown Cow. Have to leave this feedback because I'm upset about what just happened. Am a big fan of BC and it's sister the Sands End. Food is usually great. Have eaten between them lots. Tonight they served the crab cake overcooked with bitter flavour. Because I've been in the gym and starving I ate it, which was silly. Then I told the extremely pleasant waitress Siobhan about it when asked and she apologised, and then her manager unnecessarily but very kindly asked about the problem and generously apologised and suggested they'd do smth at end of meal for us. Expectation set. We didn't want anything after mains so requested bill. I was surprised to see the crabcake on the bill and told Siobhan that if I gotta pay for crabcake to remove service charge. She asked the chef what to do, and he told her to take her service charge off. How mean of the chef. And then I felt bad for Siobhan. I really hadn't expected that response from a decent place. Sad. Yeh I know some of you thinking if no good I shouldn't have eaten it. But it wasn't awful. It was edible. It just wasn't good. And I expect good, not edible. And I was starving, didn't want to wait again, so just ate it. I expect a restaurant to be grateful for feedback, and not just the "I almost vomited" type. I'm surprised at the chef's mean attitude. Siobhan deserved her tip but the protest then couldn't be made any other way and I had to follow through. I've still given 4 stars because that's my averaged view of BC... Not this experience, which was not cool. Keep up the standards. This is Parsons Green where customers don't need to two bit over £7.50. It's the principle... of good-not-edible food which I know BC appreciate which is why this...

Review of The Brown Cow, London

Last Sunday, I had the pleasure of visiting The Brown Cow, a charming pub in the heart of Fulham, London. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a rustic yet contemporary decor that created the perfect setting for a relaxing meal.

I opted for the vegetarian roast, and it was absolutely fantastic. The portions were generous, and every element of the dish was carefully prepared. The roast potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, while the seasonal vegetables added freshness and balance. The quality of the ingredients was evident, and the overall flavor of the meal was truly satisfying.

The staff at The Brown Cow deserve a special mention. They were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Service was prompt and efficient, yet we never felt rushed. Their knowledge of the menu and willingness to offer recommendations added to the overall experience.

The pub’s atmosphere was lively yet relaxed, with a diverse mix of patrons, from couples to families and groups of friends. The combination of a welcoming environment, delicious food, and excellent service makes The Brown Cow an ideal spot for a Sunday afternoon meal.

Overall, I highly recommend The Brown Cow to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Fulham. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to try more...

Below Average - Very Unsatisfying and Disappointing.

Having heard good things, I visited with three friends yesterday. While the service was good, the food was extremely disappointing.

The roast consisted of just two roast potatoes, half a parsnip, a small pile of bland, wet, and barely edible greens, and what I can only assume was carrot and swede mash—completely flavourless. The Yorkshire pudding was standard, the beef was chewy and tasteless, and everything sat in a lake of bland gravy.

Additionally, my friend found a long black hair in his food. The manager did remove it from the bill, which was appreciated, but it shouldn’t have happened in the first place. Another friend ordered the butternut squash and black bean tostada, and from what I heard, that was just as bad.

The only redeeming quality was the friendly service from the waitstaff. Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough to make up for such a disappointing meal and is not enough to make me want to return. We all left unsatisfied, the bill was expensive, and it didn’t feel like good...
