Sushi Zento Muswell Hill — Restaurant in London

This restaurant was absolutely fantastic. There was a miscommunication in the order however the restaurant rectified this immediately and apologised. The staff where very kind and friendly and made the experience very pleasant. The food was beautiful. For starters we shared their squid feet which was devine. It was the best squid I've had in London and I can't recommend it enough. Their sushi was absolutely impeccable, really loved the salmon and avocado temaki. The quality of all the tuna and salmon we enjoyed through the night was incredibly high, and while the price may seem off putting, it's genuinely fantastic food which is prepared to a very high standard. Regardless of the order mix up, I'm more than happy to come back to this place and will absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone. We split - salmon maki, tuna maki, salmon nigiri x2, tuna nigiri x2, salmon and avocado temaki, tamaga, squid feet and chicken wings which amounted to roughly 56, including two drinks which I believe considering service and quality, was worth it. Order was 40 minutes late. Driver called to say he was outside. Waited outside in minus temperatures because he actually wasn't outside. Kept insisting he was then hung up. Called back then told us to go somewhere to collect it from him - not quite how delivery works. Restaurant promised to send us a new one within 20 minutes. The old one which had been driven round for over an hour then turned up (almost 2 hours after we'd placed the order) stone cold. We asked 'is this the old order that has been driven around for ages?' and driver lied - said 'no, they just sent me'. Call restaurant 40 minutes after promised a new one and told they can't send a new one because they are too busy (but they promised us a new one 40 minutes previously when they weren't too busy, so this was also a lie) and will give me 50% discount - on an inedible order. Finally agree not to charge. Waiting to see whether they do. Disappointing service - only saving grace is that staff over the phone...

Very nice and fresh sushi. Cant complain about the food as it tasted great. Reasonably priced as sushi can sometimes be over priced.

We had someone with us with shellfish allergies and asked the waitresses to separate all shellfish dishes. Which they served all on the same dish, so they didn't seem to understand. We told them when it arrived and they removed the crab sushi from the tray and brought back the rest of it and redone the crab sushi for me. LOL!

Luckily there were no allergic reactions...

I know a sushi restaurant isn't the safest and wisest place to go if you have such an allergies but it was a big group of 10 of us.

We ordered sushi as a started and ordered a number of main dishes which they all served the same time so the mains were cold by the time we finished the sushi.

Over all I would return as its good value for money and the food and experience...
