The Broadway Cafe — Restaurant in London

A great local cafe that offer proper , authentic English breakfast. We have been there seven years ago and when we went there this morning we really enjoyed our breakfast. The service was as great as before, I ordered some toast with my breakfast but forgot to mention not to have any butter on them. when I asked them to see if they cam change it , this lovely lady brought some extra toast immediately which was very nice ( I know some other cafes in the area would probably charge !) . You don't get many cafés like this any more. I'm not gonna call it a greasy spoon, 'cos it isn't. The food is just what I want from a café: yes, fry-ups but also kippers, pies, roasts, jackets. It's got the same feel & care as food cooked at home. There are a dozen more chichi eateries just along Muswell Hill Broadway; I like some of them. But I find myself coming back to the unpretentious Broadway, with its big, cheerful windows. Clean toilets. Pepper grinders. Radio on but not intrusive. And bright, friendly service from Frankie! I came after reading the very positive reviews, searching for an authentic place where to have an English breakfast before leaving London. I was not disappointed! The staff (Frankie and the gentleman whose name I unfortunately don’t know) were caring and friendly.
