Tacos + Tequila, Tooting Broadway — Restaurant in London

What an amazing find. There are quite a few nice places in this market but this place stands out for several reasons. Bar staff are incredibly friendly, trying so hard, music is louder than most so there's a real atmosphere with the music itself being a playlist of absolute tunes (I do admittedly like quite cheesy music). Can't not be in a good mood with that going on. Then the tacos arrive and they are so yummy. From savory to sweet, they certainly didnt disappoint! The drinks are inventive and experimental without being at all pretentious like some others. Recpmend their sharers. Very reasonable pricing too for the quality I thought...

Some other reviewer mentioned a place "around the corner" that does tacos too. I went to try them. Don't bother. They must work there or something.... wasnt horrific but certainly Didn't come close to what these guys produced.

Also, ask about specials....they have some amazing offers on some nights....I need to go back on a Tuesday for a start. Had a decent time here but the way we were treated at the end really put a sour taste in my mouth.

The food was bland but if you don't mind that then they were OK. I personally like flavour to my food so I didn't enjoy it.

We chose to remove the service charge, which on the receipt said 'optional'. As we didn't enjoy the food at all and barely ate it, we thought it was fair to remove it. Once we told the waiter this he stopped taking our payment to question us. 'why are you removing it. what was wrong with the service' in a rude tone. I replied saying, nothing was wrong but it wasn't great either, also it says optional so we have removed it. He responded 'yes it is optional but people just pay it' in which I responded 'well we don't want to as we didn't enjoy the food'. He finished taking our payments and made it really awkward with a scowl on his face. After he went over to his colleague and pointed at us, looking directly at us talking about us. It felt terrible.

Really cool atmospheric place in the Broadway market serving Mexican food and cocktails. We did three tacos with bottomless margaritas and a tequila shot of your choice for £33 each, and when I mentioned it was my birthday they gave us a complimentary shot!

The tacos I chose were all delicious but a couple of the ones my friends ordered were less good so maybe go for recommendations from the servers if you're unsure. They have a huge selection of sift shell tacos so was a bit hard to choose as we were overwhelmed with choice.

The bottomless margaritas were available for an hour after you place your order. Between four of us we managed to get through two and a half large pitchers before we felt too full of fluid to carry on.

Our server was great! Food came quickly and he was very accommodating.

I don't think I would come back here to eat but I would definitely come back for cocktails as their other selection of drinks...
