I am back dear followers! One artist, one objective and one love: enjoying memorable experiences around the jaw dropping Central London! Do you wonder where to go when fancying a posh British style dinner inda City, perhaps with your date?? Well, try this place but be careful with it. First of all, watch out for the host Katy. She looks so pretty and pleasant that you couldn’t see her mean manners coming. She brought me to a little table placed exactly in the middle of the restaurant, which was quite empty considering that was quite early (around 5 pm). Asking to move to the side due to my shyness she went quite nuts, saying that yes, a table was available but just until 7:30 pm. Thinking that more than 2 hour eating are enough, I decided to accept the mean offer of the scary host. Going ahead, I dared to order a classic burger with bacon with her. Looking at me with angry eyes, she asked me if I wanted it “just” with bacon. Well, I thought, do they offer just a bun and a slice of bacon in the menu in this place? Quite odd but brilliant, I thought. Having a look to the menu, I pointed the cheese burger with bacon. Wrong move. The host got really mad saying that that one was another burger. ‘That is fine,’ I replied shaking, ‘I’ll have it’. The burger was delivered quite quickly. It was okay. The atmosphere is quite romantic and the design of this place is absolutely lovely. Also, if you do not pay too much attention to the terrible sound made by the train up there it is also quite pleasant to dine! You will be deciding if you would come back…or not! Have a lovely night followers!

Ruined what should have been a pleasant experience. Had a reservation post work. Steak was decent but dessert could be improved. Got up to go to the toilet to wash my hands and my waiter ran after me randomly from the bar stating ‘you need to pay.’ I replied I am going toilet, she backed away apologising. Upon return I asked her for the bill. Before settling I jokingly asked if I get a discount for her thinking I was dining and dashing. She laughed and said sorry people do it all the time and thought you were too. I paid leaving in shock. In hindsight, this was nothing short of discrimination and profiling. I already had a bad day at work and this was the final nail in the coffin. Ironically this behaviour came from an ethnic minority that stereotypically would be associated with such affairs. Even though I did not get to see any live jazz performances this experience led to a very jazzy night! To future diners I recommend asking when ordering if their waiter will chase them like France chasing after Argentina during world cup. The only fault I can attribute to myself is my lack of escalation to management straightaway, not asking waiter’s name and leaving a service charge. The latter I hope now goes towards staff training for this waiter on proper decorum.

So I’m sittin’ here trying to impress my wife. We’re in London, it’s 2017, and we’re at a Céline Dion concert. (BTW. Dudes, I don’t wanna hear it. Y’all had gone too and you know it!) Anyways, in the midst of her performance Céline keeps droning on about something called “Sticky Toffee Pudding.” Whilst I have absolutely no idea what she’s talking about, I can tell that my wife is chapter and verse following along with her as she describes (in great detail) what a glorious moment it is indeed when one discovers remnants of said dessert in the crevices of one’s teeth following the meal. “Whatever,” says I. “Preach the truth!” says my wifey. So now that we’re back in London, guess what was a part of our first meal? (I may be dumb, but I ain’t stupid. You know EXACTLY how we kicked things off. Sticky Toffee Wonderland.) While I maintain that, “I’m not a bread guy,” my wifey ain’t wrong. This stuff is seriously good and I’ve already been “put on notice” that this will not be our last search for this creation during this fortnight. Well I guess many husbands have “suffered” more greatly, so I ain’t complaining… And that’s…Henry’s Take. #londonstickytoffeepudding

the food was good but I've experienced the most awful service from the two server. We are Asians traveling all over the Europe and I'm surely saying I'd haven't treated as this bad in other places.

When we asked to order, the female server came to us saying nothing - in general, server says "yes please?" or something, right? and just disappeared also saying nothing - please say just one word like thank you or even just a smiley face would be okay.

We were sitting right next to the serving bar area and there was a kitchen hood above our head which made the very noisy sound. So we told the other male staff that we would like to move the table, and he.. he looked very very angry, I clearly remember his stern frown face that made me really offended.

After we moved, there were another customers sitting next to us (4 people) and then I could see all of the staff were so kind and smiley to other tables. When they served our foods, they behaved the same way like they took our order, and I still can't believe the male staff's behavior when we were paying.

He flung the receipt also saying nothing and when he got the money, and gave us the change, he just looked very uncomfortable with us, looked angry, we felt like being treated in a rude way. They were not like this to other customers, but only to us. No one said thank you or something till we left the floor.

Eventhough I felt really bad at that time, I tried to be matured as thinking like 'they might be busy (it was a lunch time)' but they were just so unkind to only two of us. I clearly could see the difference after I saw them treating other tables.

I don't usually leave the comment like this, and I'm sure this review would just make them annoyed, not feeling sorry to us tho, I should have done this which means that we were really disappointed this kind of thing had happened in the global age. Hopefully all of the restaurant staff could feel something after reading my review and never this kind of thing happen again to...

I made a dinner reservation for our anniversary. It was totally unfortunate. I have to say that the food and the atmosphere are very good, however the service is lousy, disappointing and embarrassing. The waitress upstairs was rude and in a bad mood all night. It was a very discriminatory situation when we were to pay the bill, just because of a simple question of my husband, asked about the tip. The waitress asked us: Where were we from?We told her that we were from Spain, totally in blue, because of the bad treatment and because of the question, she, after that, easy told us: "Ha! That's why!"

It is very unfortunate that you have a place with good food and that you offer very good live music, in order to offer a good experience and this becomes the opposite, because of waitresses like this and that after dinner we can only share and say that : "This is the worst experience we've ever had." Never in our lives have we felt discriminated against, in any country in the world, much less to think that this could happen to us in London! I lived in London for 8 years, in such an international city, to find a restaurant where the waiters have these xenophobic and rude attitudes is not nice and worth reporting. It's a shame, as I said, that this is the only experience we have left of your restaurant,...
