I recently had the pleasure of revisiting The Coriander, an Indian restaurant located in Vauxhall, after a long hiatus of 15 years. Despite the passing of time, the restaurant's warm welcome and excellent cuisine left an indelible impression on my son and me.

The menu at The Coriander in Vauxhall continues to offer a wide range of delectable options that showcase the richness and diversity of Indian cuisine. I opted for the Chicken Tikka Buna with Mushroom Rice, a delightful combination that exceeded my expectations. The tender chicken tikka, perfectly spiced and cooked to perfection, paired harmoniously with the aromatic mushroom rice, creating a flavorful symphony on my palate.
My son had the pleasure of savouring the Hariali Chicken, which left him thoroughly impressed. Read moreMost disappointing experience. Would never visit again and strongly urge prospective customers to avoid this restaurant. There is no option to give zero stars (which is what this restaurant deserves).
As a group of 6 (4 adults and 2 children) we called and booked a table beforehand. On arrival we were promptly greeted and seated at a table. However what followed after was an utter nightmarish experience.
The guy who came to collect the order was arrogant and insensitive. He said “one of our pre conditions is that everyone has to compulsorily order a main dish”- which was odd but we complied. We ordered poppadams and he did not care to confirm “how many” and brought a whole load of them (later charged for all).
The worst bit is when we asked for additional Nan breads he said “that’s not how we should order” “ the kitchen is too busy” “you have to order all at once” “ our takeaway customers will get delayed” “ you have to wait 15 minutes longer” etc. He was most annoyed that we were ordering more food. He refused to take our order and after his colleagues intervened he eventually did. The order of course came in less than 5 minutes. He clearly lied to us that it would take longer. Then he said we should order Nan breads not chapathis (which is...

I asked them for the wifi password but they don't share that with clients. when ai explained that I really needed it because I literally had no idea how to get back to my airbnb they snatched the phone out of my hands to put the password themselves, check the wifi and said their network wasn't showing up. they snatched the phone off my hands even worst later and so I just grabbed it stronger and the waitress said I KNOW HOW TO DO THIS so I had to explain to him that that was my phone and he shouldn't just grab it off my hands like that. so no wifi. the food was meh. the second i finished my naan the waitress removed my plates away. then he just went by in front of my table just looking at his clock asking me if I was going to pay cash or credit. he asked me three times and even though I said cash the three times he appeared a four time with a credit card machine. are you trying to rush me I said? and he just left. I left the money in the table and left. now I'm having cramps and diarrhea....
