The London vegan scene is buzzing with new vegan innovations. But then why is it so hard to find a vegan cafe in London that sells vegan croissants regularly ? Because, there is none, except, THE FIELDS BENEATH. And this one does not show up on google search. A fully vegan authentic bakery still does not show up on google. Because the website's branding of the bakery and product is not crystal clear. The website does not tell humans what this place is actually, and well then how can poor google figure that out! Well I figured it out after a lot of digging, and because I was there also a couple of years back too. It is a small place in a Kentish town neighbourhood, and it has the perfect atmosphere. The croissants (plain, almond, and chocolate) were fresh and delicious. Yes please! Their croissants are rightfully legendary and delicious, stuffed and filled to the perfection. Along with croissants, I had hot soothing golden milk, made from their own paste, a very simple and exquisite drink. I can say again that golden milk is exquisite. The staff was very nice and friendly. Service was quick and the barista was buzzing along with a great attitude. Overall, great vibes and ambience. No worries of cross-contamination or hidden ingredients. A must visit! I highly recommend anyone to visit, but for vegans this...

Menu: Great place to grab a cup of coffee, tea, lattes, etc. My personal favourite is their homemade chai tea blend (non-dairy options available e.g. unsweetened almond milk ). They make their own chai tea blend and it's very tasty (I believe they source their tea mix from Ceylon). One can also grab a small bite here with options ranging from sandwiches, salads, to baked goods. This place also offers very tasty vegetarian and vegan options (the banh mi croissant is delicious)!
Ambiance: It's a small and cozy place - there is limited seating inside and they have a small patio space in front of the cafe. It's a great place to enjoy a small bite and/or coffee alone, with friends, and family. It's also a work friendly environment so one can bring their laptops to get some work done.
Service: The staff are all very friendly and welcoming.

We stopped by for breakfast on a weekday. The daily menu wasn’t posted online, but rather is written up in store (maybe Instagram too? But I hadn’t checked..).
Drinks: I ordered a golden latte- very mildly sweet, a tad heavy on the turmeric, but overall a great drink for a rainy morning.
Food: We ordered the choona mayo (a chickpea based sando) and the wrap of the day, which I can’t quite remember the name of, but had spinach and tofu in it- neither dishes were particularly aesthetic looking, but tasted absolutely delicious! The wraps had just been made, which was a nice touch too. The crunchy texture of the choona mayo was really great with the soft bread.
Dessert: We had a most excellent slice of lemon cake that nobody should miss!
Overall, The Fields Beneath is definitely worth a visit. I’d love to try the sausage rolls, other pastries and the coffee...
