My return visit to Fuji Grill at the Beaverbrook Townhouse, this time to celebrate my 1st anniversary with my boyfriend, reaffirmed my admiration for this remarkable dining establishment. Having enjoyed a wonderful experience here a few years ago with a friend, I was eager to come back.
The location itself is lovely, offering a sophisticated and serene atmosphere perfect for a special occasion. They have recently updated the omakase tasting menù and the wagyu temaki and the o-toro were exceptional—so much so that we couldn’t resist ordering more.
The staff at Fuji Grill deserves special mention. Their kindness and attentiveness made our evening truly memorable. Not only did they all wish us a happy anniversary, but they also surprised us with a delightful anniversary dessert at the end of our meal. Delicately flavoured small plates of fish are interspersed with individual nigiris, all carefully created by the masterful Jan. The Omakase space can seat up to six people, but due to its linear shape, is best suited for couples or two friends dining together. Trudy the Maitre d’Hotel takes care of her guests like family. You can wash all the food down with a small but wide ranging wine list including some great sakes. We had a wonderful...
