This pub truly captures a Mediterranean vibe, especially on sunny days when the outdoor area is bathed in sunlight for almost the entire day. I absolutely love sitting outside with a glass of rosé—it's the perfect way to unwind and soak up the warm atmosphere. The wine menu is decent; while it’s not the most extensive I’ve seen, they do offer several good options that pair nicely with the setting. I often come here with friends, even in the evenings, and surprisingly there’s almost always a free table outside, which makes it a reliable spot for a relaxed hangout. The décor is thoughtfully done, creating a cosy and inviting atmosphere that makes you want to linger. Overall, it’s a charming and pleasant place to enjoy good drinks and great company in a lovely Mediterranean-inspired setting.

We booked the function room at the green and had pre ordered our food. The function room is beautiful and very spacious. The staff had laid out our tables in a great way and the layout was fantastic for 25 people. The food comes in a sharing manner when you have pre decided what 3 starters and 2 main courses you wanted. You can order vegetarian options instead. The food was very tasty and very well presented. We had great choice of salads, beef wellington and pork. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent service, space, food and choice for drinks. Strongly recommend.

Another Clerkenwell bar were I was probably the oldest person in it! It's table service only but that's fast and friendly. Good selection of beers. Had the Asian bar snacks ( Bao buns, katsu chips) to help soak up the beer. A lot of "oh well just one more round" meant a late finish and a slightly meandering walk back to the station after a very enjoyable evening.

What a perfect example of style over substance. Went for family Sunday lunch - where the vegetarian option for the Roast is- more of the same vegetables- and none of them roast. As the roast potatoes are cooked in animal fat, the vegetarians are given boiled potatoes. So how is that dish an alternative to a Sunday Roast? It's the 21st Century - Having gone to all the post-modern trouble of calling themselves Green but decorating everything blue, surely there is something more creative they could do than pasta as a vegetarian option? They seem to be striving to be "different" just for the sake of it and while our waitress was pleasant enough, the rest of the staff , all young white and male, seemed unfriendly, even surly- (perhaps hung over? ) Seeing one of them leave the toilet cubicle and return to the kitchen without washing his hands has ensured we won't...

Excellent quality food in a relaxed pub setting.

Visited for a fairly early Saturday lunch and couldn't fault any aspect of the experience. Food was first class - melting lamb sweetbreads, succulent braised lamb and an interesting rhubarb nut crumble - and every element of the dishes was cooked perfectly.

Well-curated but manageable wine list along with a good range of cask and craft beers.

Service was flawless from start to finish - friendly, approachable and just what you want from that kind of setting.

Based on the reviews I thought it would be good but I was genuinely surprised at how wonderful the entire experience was. Highly...
