I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Grocer Pub located in Spitalfields market and I must say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The decor was stylish and modern, yet still maintained the traditional charm of a classic British pub.
The staff were friendly and attentive, always willing to help with any questions about the menu or drink options. Speaking of the menu, the food was phenomenal! The ingredients were fresh and locally sourced, and the dishes were expertly prepared. I ordered the fish and chips and it was cooked to perfection, with a crispy batter and tender fish inside. The portion sizes were generous, and the presentation was beautiful.
The drinks menu was also impressive, with a great selection of craft beers and ciders.
The prices were reasonable given the high quality of the food and drinks. The Grocer Pub is definitely worth a visit, whether you're looking for a casual drink after work or a full meal with friends or family. The location is also ideal, situated in the heart of Spitalfields market, providing a unique and vibrant atmosphere.
Overall, I highly recommend The Grocer Pub for anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience in a stylish and welcoming environment. The food, drinks, and service were all top-notch and I can't...

We had a nice lunch, the service was fine, the drinks were close to being cold. It was all fine given the circumstances!
On our way out, however, we needed to use the toilets and that’s where it pretty much all went wrong. The men’s toilet had a flooded floor and two small urinals close together. The only male cubicle had no toilet paper, mess all over the place... and no lock.
They say they’re LGBT friendly on here, but some men need to sit to go to the toilets. When there’s only one cubicle, the others are designated as ‘ladies’, then it has to be working. I love a drink as much as the next person, but having four people barge in on you with your trousers down is not fun at all.
This is not how you make a safe space.
It’s really down to dignity if anything. Can’t get someone out to fix the lock on a Saturday? That’s understandable. Put up a sign or warn customers when they ask where the toilets are, or just out right close them until they can be fixed. Fixing it and cleaning it up needs to be a priority, however.
(Meeting one of the chefs in the toilets (with no face covering) washing their hands in that room of all places is not reassuring either!)
The staff said they would talk to management. I hope they do. It’s...
