I Do not leave adverse reviews, unless are strongly feel inclined to do so. The following, is not directed at the staff per se, but moreso, the food.

Based on a passing comment in a circle of friends, i was made aware of this place, and decided to try it, on a whim! (literally a few doors down from a very good friends place).

These burgers are overcooked, dry, and laden with sauce that barely even brings out the taste (i know the sauces used, and they are not comparable to the other better French alternatives). The taste of oil/burnt oil, overwhelms the burgers, and renders the food, tasteless. We had two of the burgers (cod and chicken), and was extremely disappointed.

The very fact that the staff member (nice guy, but acted a little clueless) made me feel like he was doing me a favour (when i came back from my car) when giving me some sauce when i mentioned the burgers were dry, made me feel awkward in all honesty, even hesitant to ask for the burgers to be re-made, which should have been done without any prompts whatsoever.

In all honesty, this establishment will easily serve to appease the local palette and expectations of the area.

Writing this, i almost feel like i have to be apologetic, but im afraid, if i feel like this, the chances are, i wont be back. If you happen to change the flavours (adding salt at least, and cooking at optimal temperatures), then im sure youll have tonnes more customers, who choose you out of more than just convenience (of course, i cannot speak for everyone).

Pros: Nice simple packaging to keep your food warm (forgot tissues though)

I do hope that these reviews serve to establish a better standard (could have been a one-off), but i cannot buy that, when the likes of smaller, less "fancier" places, are able to maintain great...

Went in around 9pm to make an order, asked for a burger, chicken bites and chips and Algerian sauces which I said I would pay extra for. I was about to check the bag before leaving and he said it’s all there as if I shouldn’t check it and gave me an extra sauce as I was going to check they gave the sauces I paid for. I went home and there was no chicken bites in the bag. I called them and they said it’s a different person working now, they said next time I come they will remember I said no because I wanted it with my food for tonight…they offered a refund but then they said they will send a driver out with it. I called them at 10pm and after waiting I called at 10:53pm multiple times and no answer. They close at 11pm. I called their Canning Town branch to explain and he told me he would contact them and after I called him again he said he’s not getting an answer either. So they took my money and I didn’t even get the food delivered to me later like how you would with a normal establishment. I was waiting the entire time for the chicken bites for over an hour they could’ve let me know they wasn’t going to send anyone so I wouldn’t need to microwave my cold...

Really not pleased as it was the first meal for me today and it had to go in the bin. I thought il give them benefit by trying them for the 3rd time as the first 2 was horrible experience but didn't write a review as you got to give people chances as it could be off day for them or that particular order. Ordered through flipdish price is slight higher then normal in house menu which is understandable no problem however please don't charge £4 for a burger which a 4 year old can finish in 2 bites it doesn't justify it. Secondly the £31 order was packed with all the burgers at the bottom of the bag with chips, nuggets, halloumi and cheese bites a combination of around 6-7 portions on top of the burgers which by the time it hit home the burgers were even smaller and squashed to a flat toastie. Thirdly the fries where disgustingly floppy oily and cold. The drinks are not cold and the only thing decent was the nuggets. This review had to be written as a feedback to work on things specially when you have 3 branches don't forget the quality of food. Unfortunately won't be heading back either as 3 times experience was not great it's time to...

07/03/2021 - Update: Recently went again I wasn't too impressed. Top of that, I totally forgot they don't accept any card payments CASH ONLY, It was so cold and windy and took me over 15 minutes locating a working ATM in that area, this was very inconvenient! INITIAL Review: It was my first time to The Hungry Cow, I had the Deja Moo Burger 🍔 Meal, a.k.a (Big Mac). I got to say it was delicious, To me taste was better then BigMac, french fries 🍟 was on point, and their yellow sauce was amazing too. This place was recommended by a friend, I happened to be near the area Today so thought give it a try, extremely friendly service, most probably the best burger I had in a while! Professional, simple and quick! Highly recommend! Only down side here no card payments, CASH ONLY! so make sure you have cash on you, otherwise you can find your self in a bit of a mission finding a working cash point near by.

As somebody who is boycotting McDonald’s I thought I would get a fish burger from here to satisfy the craving, however this experience was very far from that. I was severely disgusted at the quality of the fish patty which looked grey, translucent and even jelly like suggesting that this was not even cooked properly. I have attached a picture and could not bring myself to eat any further. My review simply exists to warn anybody considering the fish burger as it is below any satisfactory rating. I have had the cheese burger from here before and can confirm that it tastes good hence I did not give this review a 1 star, but the fish supply/ fish cooking definitely needs attention and I would never recommend this to anyone, unless they like the after taste of raw cod liver fish oil.

Best burger spot in the UK! Have tried everything on the menu 5 star. Beats McDonald's burger as you can actually taste the meat and does not have the mechanical taste. The hungry cow and double cheese burger are amazing recommend all to try. Chips are good too not soggy always crispy and tasty. They have various drinks to pick from thst you may not find else where. Staff have great customer service too and food is normally served within the correct time frame. Also don't forget the special hungry cow sauce those with chips are out of this world! Yet again best spot I have come across to date. Keep up the amazing work and delicious food.
