The Monkey Bar And Grill — Restaurant in London

The place is small it was quite empty for a Friday when we went. The decore is nice but had no ambience. Smoking area is right next to the door when someone opened it all smoke comes in, it’s really not nice specially if you are a non smoker. The menu is quite common ( no steak unfortunately). We had to wait a lot for the drinks, but the milk shake was really tasty. We ordered starters, which we never received only when the main came out to the table we’ve been told no starter ( no reason why not it would of been nice to be told there won’t be any). The burgers were really nice, absolutely delicious. Unfortunately. We never had dessert menu or any table service really, so can’t say more about the food. We have not been offered any desert menu or any drinks or coffe so we just had to go to the staff to pay eventually. Yet service charge is added to the bill. The staff needs serious training at least on basic waitressing prior charging for service which is not there. The food maybe better of to be offered for take away then...

We went here last night, and there were only 2 other people in the restaurant, who had already finished eating. The waitress spilled a beer on our entire party, ruining a leather bag, making us cold and uncomfortable, jackets needed dry cleaning, etc. Of course people spill things and that's not one star-worthy. But the way they handled it displayed some of the worst customer service I've seen in my life. We weren't offered napkins or anything to dry ourselves or our things, and the restaurant offered us only a 10% discount on our bill, which would have amounted to something like £5 on what we ordered. Not even a free round of drinks! That's the kind of discount code you would find online while walking into a restaurant. I think for ruining people's things, soaking them entirely, and given you have virtually noone else in the restaurant, you would make some sort of reasonable effort. We were insulted, frankly,...

Nice bar very lively but we were there as a group from Ireland. We paid for our drinks with card. On arrival home we noticed a large sum taken out of our card. It was a busy night with parties ECT. But instead of being charged 35 pounds for drinks my sister was charged 350 .. when she realised she immediately rang the bar it was before lunch the following day. She was treated appallingly on the phone and the person said they couldn't do anything about it. She emailed a few times and eventually it was sorted but no apologies or ownership. She got money back and was basicly told to be careful with her card that she should have checked her receipt but unfortunately she did not get 1 and also the lighting in the bar would prevent you from checking same.
