was like a taste of heaven. The crispy golden-brown batter encased the flaky succulent fish perfectly. With each bite the fish practically melted in our mouths leaving us craving more. The chips were equally incredible. They were hand-cut thickly sliced and cooked to absolute perfection. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside these chips were the epitome of what a good chip should be. They were sprinkled with just the right amount of salt enhancing their flavor without overpowering it. To complement the fish and chips we were served a tangy tartar sauce and a side of vinegar. The tartar sauce had a creamy texture with a zesty kick from the pickles and capers adding a delightful contrast to the rich fried goodness of the fish. The vinegar on the other hand provided a refreshing acidity that cut through the richness of the dish balancing the flavors beautifully. The ambiance of the Weather Scone restaurant also added to the overall experience. It was cozy and inviting with a touch of nautical decor that created a charming seaside atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive ensuring that we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. As we savored each bite the combination of flavors and textures left us truly satisfied. From the perfectly cooked fish to the outstanding chips and mouth-watering accompaniments it was clear that this fish and chips experience was a cut above the rest. We left the Weather Scone restaurant with our bellies full and our taste buds incredibly pleased. It was easy to see why this place had such a reputation for serving the best fish and chips in town. Whether you're a seafood lover or just looking for a delicious indulgent meal a visit to the Weather Scone restaurant for their fish and chips is an absolute must.

New Years Day. Excellent location for this Wetherspoons pub. Tower Bridge is only minutes away and obviously a tourist area without any doubt. Very mild day and was actually hot from walking from the Embankment tube station. Went into The Pommelers Rest pub and even though it was busy I found a nice little cubicle to sit in. Because it was New Years day I decided not to drink beer but order something different. I went for a whole bottle of Broadwood's Folly a sparkling wine from England and priced only at £19.99. Unfortunately when the Broadwood's Folly where was no ice bucket with it to keep the sparkling wine cold. I ask the staff for one and she said they don't do ice buckets anymore, amazing crazy I thought. Anyhow she improvised buy using a water jug filled with ice for the sparkling wine. Please see photograph. Anyhow it was not perfect and looked very silly but it did help the wine to stay chilled while drinking it. Overall and once again a very decent Wetherspoons pub in a very interesting part of London. Service from the staff was fantastic and friendly too. Toilets very clean and table tops also clean. Highly recommended this pub as their prices are the best compared to other pub chains in this part of London.

Typical weatherspoons with cheaper drinks than the weathespoons across the thames- by a pound, so great saving for deep pockets & short arm people (thats us btw). The security guy did a great job and was constantly on the move, making sure everyone was safe & behaving. And he also doubled up as a people mover - when tables freed up, he would come to groups standing or perching on high stools to see if they wanting to relocate. If small groups were sat at big tables, he would switch them to a smaller table so large groups were not cluttering the walkways etc. He is also a comedian so will crack a joke with you - he does a great job! Bar staff are good but probably need more training on the specials, and it would be great if whoever does the stock control at this/all locations actually made sure that they have the products to make thr specials as fsr too frequently the don't have the elderflower tonic for the tanquery spritz - not a huge deal but means that each drink is made totally different depending on what the bar staff use as a substitute.

Disgusting discriminative staff. We arrived as a party of 10. 8 adults, 1 toddler and a baby. We arrived shortly after 1pm when the bar was less than half full. As there was nobody on our side of the bar, we let our daughter walk around (followed by an adult at all times, less than a yard away). After a short time, we were told by a member of staff that we must "keep her down" as if she was a dog (she was doing nothing other than walking around followed by an adult), even though she had not bothered anyone else. After spending £250+, we were told to "keep it down" as many customers had complained, although we had not been loud, just general conversation, no louder then any other customer. When pointed out that we had paid money to be there just like any other customer, the male bartender with a beard laughed and shouted at us, clearly making a scene saying "well you don't pay my wages, it doesn't matter how much you've spent, you're still commiting a criminal offence". The manager shortly after came over and when asked who had complained about the noise, we were told "I don't know, just someone". When asked what criminal offence had been committed (bearing in mind I have a thorough understanding of the law through my occupation), he replied "I didn't say you had committed an offence". When told his staff member had said this and had made us feel uncomfortable and pushed out we were told "well I'm sorry you feel like this, we're not asking you to leave". The staff clearly had an issue with us being there with children and we were made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome from the minute we stepped through the door. We do not expect any special treatment when attending with our kids but expect at the very least to be treated equally and with respect. The staff member was rude, disrespectful and caused us embrassment in front of many other patrons. The manager was not supportive in any way and if anything contributed in making us feel unwelcome. We are regular customers to many wetherspoons throughout the country and have never had a problem, however the service here was disgusting, disrespectful and the staff clearly discriminate towards anyone with children, despite supposedly being a family friendly pub. Advice to anyone with...

We had a wedding photoshoot on that day, so went to this place for a break. James was the person who we met the most. We had 6, so asked for 2 tables. It was brunch time and super busy. We asked James to clean one of the tables for us, he said he was so busy to do, however we understood that and politely told him not to rush. We even helped to clean up the table. Sat down and ordered, the food came really fast. After the brunch, one of my friends open the luggage on the floor to take my wedding dress out for me to change, it literally took only 30 seconds. I noticed we were in the middle of the way so I hurried my friend. James came and said we were interrupt the public way, I agreed, apologised and said we would be quick. He then raised his voice, then swear at us and walk away. I shocked of what he had done to me, however I told myself this was my important day so I didn't want to be upset, also he might lose his temper because of the busy brunch time. I used to work in a restaurant so I understand this. Then I went to the disable toilet to change my wedding dress, as the dress was big and need a space. He followed me with someone else (I'm not sure if she is the manager), told me that I need to respect others people by not using the disable toilet, by a very rude voice???? I felt like he was revengeful and react with anything we did. He then walked away, the lady stayed. I told her, if they didn't want me to use the disable toilet, it's absolutely fine, but James couldn't talk to customers with that behaviours. I also told her that he had swear at us. After this, I came back to my table without changing the dress, and decided to leave. James came with an apology and explained that he didn't swear. The way he came to us feel like he was force to come by someone else, not by himself, very dishonest and disrespectful. I'm not sure if Wetherspoon care about customers, probably not as you are already a big reputation and received many customers per day. If yes, you need to reconsider of someone like James, his temper is not suitable to work in a restaurant. The food was nice and service overall was great, however I will never come back...
