I first joined Third Space about 6 years ago when Tower Bridge opened…back then I was blown away and throughly enjoyed it. After a job change/office move the location no longer worked and I spent years in other gyms moving around, not really getting into the swing. After a recent office move I went back to Third Space and I am again, incredibly impressed.
I use Tower Bridge as my main gym and it is as clean as the day it opened - impressive! I also use Soho through the week, which I find less appealing in terms of layout (I prefer the openness of Tower Bridge gym floor) but I have found my favourite instructors for classes at Soho.
My favourite classes are Pulse, Kettlebells and Just Ride…all equally hard in various ways! The class range is amazing and the Mind & Body range is very broad in comparison to most other gyms! Wimbledon new opening also offered dynamic Pilates and a stunning spa area.
What I love most about Third Space is that no matter what my schedule or where I am in the city I can always find a class at one of their clubs that suits me.
Amenities are great it means I can pop in even when not planned as long as I have my kit, as I don’t need shower stuff deo moisturisers etc! I enjoy getting ready there in the mornings and using the hair tools - my hair looks better than when I do it at home!
My only drawback would be that I feel it’s less collaborative between other members than other gyms, but they do have socials etc that I am now starting to go to when they have them so maybe that would help
The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and the maintenance team are phenomenal - the work they do keeping the clubs clean and maintained is second to none they are the real champions of these gyms and what I think plus Third Space above all competitors.
Oh and the Strawberry and Pistachio shake!
Best gyms in London, can’t wait for more openings, THANK YOU THIRD SPACE for helping me lose 19lb that I have held onto since a gain in 2020, and 5 months training with you I have dropped it all! Never imagined I could achieve it but it’s easy at Third Space to train and...
Read moreThirdSpace Tower Bridge layout of the club is fantastic, from the gym floor, pool and saunas to the protein smoothie bar and the mini gym shop, every detail is well thought out. The staff are always super helpful and welcoming and the overall environment makes it genuinely hard to find an excuse not to work out! The location is also brilliant, right by Tower Bridge with a great view upon entering or leaving the club. I’m also thrilled that they’ve recently started offering Reformer Pilates!
A huge shoutout to my ThirdSpace PT, Josh. Josh has genuinely changed relationship to fitness and I don’t say that lightly. Before Josh and I started working together, I felt completely overwhelmed by the gym and didn’t really know where to start. He’s completely shifted the way I view fitness. With his support, my confidence has grown so much that I now walk into the gym with a clear plan and excitement to train.Physically, I’ve become noticeably stronger and leaner and while the weight loss is a great bonus, what really matters is how much better I feel. Josh has been incredible at adjusting my goals when needed, keeping me on track, and always going above and beyond with his time and encouragement. I can’t recommend him enough, training with him has been one of the best decisions I’ve made!
Some constructive feedback to make an amazing gym even better:
More Visible Membership Support: Currently, all membership questions go through a generic email. It would feel much more personal and approachable if there were a named contact, either someone on-site or even just a direct email and phone number.
ThirdSpace App: At the moment, bookings only seem to sync with iCloud. Many of us use Google Calendar to manage our schedules, so adding that integration would be super helpful and make it easier to stay organised. Also, if a member freezes their membership for a month, it would be helpful to have that clearly shown in the app - maybe a banner or visual reminder.
All in all, would highly recommend ThirdSpace and think it's worth the hefty...
Read moreI decided to leave Third Space (aka No Space) as of January of this year in light of the increased membership cost. I was debating doing so anyway as the quality of the experience has decreased dramatically over the last year due to oversubscription. It was fairly busy when I joined at the start of 2024 but has got to the point that at times it’s just unusable.
It’s supposed to be a luxury experience given the (ever increasing) price tag and it just doesn’t feel like that when on some occasions literally every bench, rack, or machine was in use. There were many times when I had to basically improvise a workout because I couldn’t get access to what I needed, which is really irritating when you’re trying to make progress on a particular lift and you need to be consistent. You’d then have to shimmy around other people competing for the same space in the locker room (honestly felt like the tube at times). This also meant that the weights were almost constantly in chaos and the shower area always felt a bit messy. Towards the end, I stopped really looking forward to going.
To add insult to injury you’d then see them almost constantly see the staff showing people around - I never understood why any of these people would join after seeing it at peak periods.
This is the second time I’ve left a No Space for the same reason - the first being Canary Wharf. It seems to be built into their business model to cram as many people into a given site until it’s fit to burst (at the expense of existing customers) to justify investment in another branch in the same area - then rinse and repeat.
I’ve joined a non-chain gym probably around 5 minutes away and apart from missing the boujee shower gel the experience is better in every...
