đ Goodge Street đș £7.25 Yes IPA
The Queen Charlotte is located on Goodge Street in the heart of Fitzrovia in central London. The nearest Tube is Goodge Street which has some superb Edwardian tiled walkways.
This pub was first licensed in 1767, the present building dates from 1897 and was originally called The Northumberland Arms. The Northumberland Arms closed in 2011 and reopened as The Draft House Charlotte after being taken over by the Draft House chain. It was renamed around 2017 to The Queen Charlotte and is now Brewdog pub.
This is small one bar pub that has a single rectangular room. The decor is traditional with a bare boarded floor, large windows, panelled and pale blue walls, conventional seating and leather banquettes. The servery dominates the bar area and has a detailed solid wood front and a tap list above the glass gantry. If you want to watch the world go by, there are a number of stools next to drinking ledges outside.
The beer selection offered a range Brewdog beers and local London brews plus two cask ales. I decided on a Yes IPA by Harringay brewery @goodnessbrew , my pint was excellent, price point was expensive. This pub doesnât serve food at present.
I arrived around 3pm on a warm Wednesday afternoon in September. The pub was fairly quiet inside with one solo punter and a Dutch couple, outside there were a few others enjoying a pint in the sunshine. The atmosphere was relaxed with a top soundtrack playing in the background. The service was great, I was served by a lovely Lady who was warm, welcoming and friendly.
I know that Brewdog as a brand can divide opinions on what this firm are all about and also the fact that they market themselves as premium. That aside, this is a decent little boozer that is a nice place to spend time in. The traditional decor, extensive choice of beers and the warm hospitality means this pub gets a thumbs up from me. Yes itâs a little pricey, but I suppose thatâs central London for you. The @brewdogthequeencharlotte is definitely worth a look.

Came on a busy Thursday night, drinks were flowing and service was pretty good and fast. 2 for 1 cocktails is a great deal going on and a wide range of craft brews.
I have removed 1 star because the spicy margaritas we had probably had half a bottle of tobasco in them, they were pure fire juice and not very drinkable. I mentioned to member of staff that just apologised and walked away. Very poor
I would come again for the beer only, cocktails weren't too spectacular.

Review Edit:
I recently came back on a busy Thursday night again and the staff were beyond excellent, they recognised my fiancé from the spicy margaritas and really went above board to make...
Read moreStrange experience here for after work pints. One of our pints was flat, which the arrogant Australian manager actually disputed, which was a fun chat as another staff member conceded theyâd just changed the barrel. The room was freezing being a March 8 degree evening and when someone politely requested to shut the door (heâd opened it for an hour despite the temperature) he laughed and said ânah, for circulation itâll be open for at least an hour or twoâ. Just go to any of the nearby pubs, so odd. Oh and p.s youâll be asked for a TIP when you pay on the card machine, with 15/20% the options (small âno tipâ option below) for waking to the bar and asking for a drink. Again, just...
