I had the worst experience at this place today. I had called in on the weekday to book for a table for 2 for today ( Saturday the 31st) the guy on the line mentioned it was Halloween and we should dress if we want to but he failed to mention that there was going to be a rugby match on the same night.
Why is it so important for him to let me know there was going to be a rugby match ohhh wait.. we got there ( me and my boyfriend) a few minutes earlier before our booking the place was packed, we had one of the servers came at the front to speak to us, my boyfriend mentions we have a booking ( he fails to find us in the booking) from his look he couldn’t find us on the paper with the bookings but doesn’t mention anything.
But, he then proceeds to tell us there is a table, we say okay thinking everything was fine, he gives us a table right next to the WC and the outside area. I ask why we are being seated there and he says there’s no other available seat considering there’s a rugby match, I ask him well why didn’t the person who spoke to me let me know considering I could’ve then booked a seat at the front.
Oh and since it was going to be dinner between me and my boyfriend you’d think that the person whom I spoke on the phone would make that suggestion. The guy sitting us down just said well that’s the only one available at the moment . We had to agree to seat there, a few minutes passed we notice a free table and we decide to ask if we could exchange ( another staff female this time) comes to speak to us I ask her if there’s other available seat even if it’s out side she says no, even though we could see one.
We pointed out to her that the seats in front of us was available she just looked at us and literally said that she couldn’t do anything ( if the seats are available why not exchange?) but all she did was look at us, no apology, no explanation nothing ( oh yes I did mention we were planning to eat and didn’t want to eat next to the WC). So, we decided to get out and leave.
One of the staff members female saw us leave you’d think she would ask why we were leaving nope, she didn’t say a word.
The service was horrible, horrible misunderstanding, poor explanations. Wouldn’t...

The nearest tube is Tooting Bec which is a five minute walk away. . This pub was refurbished around six years ago as the pub looked tired and in need of some life. The dark green exterior with a bit foliage here and there has made this pub an inviting place to visit. . The decor here is traditional with light walls, olive green panels and wood floors. At the centre of this pub is the servery with tap list above. There is plenty of seating in this medium sized pub, there are poser tables near the servery and low level tables a chairs around the edges of the bar. At the back of the pub is a snug beer garden complete with chesterfield sofa, out front is additional seating if you want to watch the local comings and goings. . The beer line up here is impressive, this pub has an excellent range of local London and British brews plus the usual keg stalwarts to wet your whistle. As this was pub two of my crawl I played it safe and went for an Estrella, it was a nice pint and cost under six quid. The food menu is served up by @flatboyspizza , like the beer there is a good selection, most pizzas cost around twelve quid. . I arrived around 1pm to watch the second half of the Liverpool v Chelsea game, the pub was packed which was great to see. I loved the atmosphere here, it had a proper local and welcoming feel. The punters were a mix of lads in to watch the game, friends having a lunchtime catch up and amongst the crowd was a woman having a large glass of red wine enjoying a good book. The staff were excellent, they immediately acknowledged my presence at the bar, served me in no time at all and they all had glowing smiles, I really felt welcome. . The @rosecrownsw17 is a brilliant boozer offering a great selection of beers, food and warm hospitality. I can’t recommend this pub highly enough folks, will definitely visit again. . ℹ️ Info correct on...
Read moreThis is one of my regular haunts. I'm not employed or a relative or have any links, I'm just a fan. Me and my friends go there a lot, we've had engagement parties, bday parties, board games nights and watched the world cup and 6 nations there. I've had first dates and deep and meaningfuls there. It is huge for a start so unless the world cup or 6 nations is on you will always find a seat. It's never to loud you can't hear each other even when the live music is on. It does real ale (a huge changing selection) but is also know for it's gin concoctions. And if all you want is a cuppa and have a quiet chat with a pal there's no judgement or eye rolling. And finally the pizza .......oh the pizza. I know, I know....all that carb and cheese but if you are having a cheat day.......oh my the pizza. It some how manages to tick all the boxes which is why whenever I pop my head in the door there will always be a couple of my clan in there. Hadn't thought about it till now but they've got everything you could want from a decent friendly...
