Visited on the 23/08/2023 If your going here for a meal DON’T it’s a waste of time. The timberyard don’t have a kitchen so they have a partnership with the village pizza next door. The village pizza is obviously only good for pizzas. For some reason they cater burgers for the timberyard. I ordered a burger and it was one of the worst I have had in my life. The burger looks nothing like the photos and on the menu it said it would come with caramelised onionns but the onions were raw not caramelised. To make matters worse the burger was so dry and had zero flavour. Also we had to wait a long time for our food, for bad tasting food. The timberyard is only good for drinks and watching the footy. If you want food stay away.

Great! Biggish bar with a sports inclination. Staff on the bar are gorgeous and happy to help. A range of St. Austell cask on offer plus a load of keg offerings. All is well with the world. Pop in for a visit, you will enjoy.

I noticed that there had been a refurb ever since The Misty Moon became The Timberyard. It looked really nice inside and last week I decided to pop in to check the football score on my walk home. I wasn't in the pub for long, and I sure as hell won't be going back ever again. I have never felt such an uncomfortable atmosphere in my life. I am a British Asian guy who works in the entertainment industry, I spend a lot of my time in bars/pubs/clubs all around London. As soon as I sat down I noticed everyone staring at me for no reason and sitting pretentiously in their corners. It was mainly old white men who seemed alarmed as to why an ethnic had entered. I heard that this place was known for being quite a racist pub in the past but I was hoping that with the refurb came new ownership. After about 5 minutes I decided to get up and leave because I felt so uncomfortable. I was getting dirty looks from all angles and felt judged on my every move (looking at my phone / reacting to the football etc). As I walked out one of the old men who was giving me dirty looks followed me and grabbed me whilst I was half way out of the door to say "Are you not going to buy a drink before you leave?" it turned out he was the land-lord. I told him how I didn't want to sit and drink by myself in a pub that I felt uncomfortable with racist vibes to which he responded with "oh p*ss off" and I continued to walk home. I honestly have never felt such an awful atmosphere in a pub. The staff should be ashamed of themselves and everyone who i've told this story to has felt embarrassed on...

This is honestly the worst pub in twickenham! And bearing in mind there’s a weatherspoons just down the road that’s saying something…

I’ve heard a few stories about this place but thought it can’t be that bad so decided to go in with my partner and I wish I’d stayed away..

The tall Irish guy with glasses ( I assume the manager ) is so rude!!! My partners told me a few stories of times she and her friends have seen the manager pop up from no where half cut and start arguing with customers!

But Saturday night was something else!! There was 2 lads working on the bar all evening, both lovely guys who you couldn’t fault, then the manager appeared late on from no where, stumbling around, going behind the bar blasting music out really loud, you could just see how uncomfortable it made the other employees feel..

I somehow think if the staff did that they’d not have a job anymore. And from the other reviews I’ve seen this isn’t the first sign of any trouble..

It’s a shame because actually the pub has alot of potential and the staff are lovely shows sports, nice selection of beers, just a shame the face of the pub and person left running it is actually the biggest problem. If the owners care about this place they'd change...

I visited the misty moon today and it is very well located . It has a small pool table and is quite happening . However my experience was bitter due to some of the locals visiting the pub. This guy called Richard and his partner hang out in the pub and play pool. While their pool is utterly tasteless and very defensive , they seem to have a problem in welcoming outsiders. I am from India and was with my friend Amit who is from LA, USA. Richie who was basically trying to a nick a ciggarette from Amit and asked - " Where are you from" and Amit replied "LA". He said you meant Hownslow . I asked him what he meant and I asked him where he was from . He tried to avoid the question , so I said you are from Twickenham and not from FRANCE. He came back and said I am not racist. Well while this was not racism , it was not far from it . So, anybody who wants to have a good time there beware of the chaps who might spoil...
