Small Japanese eatery situated near the train station and High Street which serves up average fare at a very competitive price.

I ordered the Agedashi Tofu, Sake Roll (salmon + avocado), and Una Kyu Temaki. The tofu wasn't much to scream about. Instead of 2 large blocks of tofu in dashi broth as it's usually served, I got 4 smaller pieces. The dashi wasn't very flavourful and the tofu itself was microwaved.

The Sake Roll was decent. Salmon used was fresh and at only £7.50 for 8 reasonably-sized pieces, it's decent value for money.

The Temaki was pretty good. With juicy unagi and cucumber, it's well worth the £4 price tag.

Service was great with extremely polite and helpful waiting staff, although they don't seem to speak English well.

Overall, while the food wasn't extraordinary, it makes up for this with the low cost. Worth visiting if you crave sushi but are...

We have eaten in quite a few of Twickenham's restaurants and had some great food, but I think this has to be the best and certainly one of the best Japanese restaurants outside of Central London. Service is friendly and the dishes are brought out quickly and made with care. The menu offers not only sushi but a large range of authentic starters along with some noodle and bento box dishes. We decided to order several smaller dishes and a few sushi so that we could sample more of the menu. The octopus legs with seaweed were on par with those I've had in Japan, the chicken karage (lightly fried chicken) was superb and tender, the lightly fried tofu in broth was delicate and tasty and all of the sushi dishes were fresh and very very good indeed. To top it off, the pricing is very reasonable for the high level of quality. Will certainly return to try more....

Given all of the great reviews of late, I expected to be treated to some quality sushi at humble prices, but this was just really sad sushi at a decent price point. The salmon roe tasted completely off, the scallop did not look fresh, nor did it taste right - it was like they'd soaked it in a lemon water bath to disguise its three times frozen over taste, and worst of all, the sushi rice was MUSHY!!! The edamame was also simultaneously overcooked and dry, which was really impressive. My husband's chicken katsu curry with rice was tasteless - it managed to have less flavor than an instant curry box. The waitstaff was efficient to the point of absolute silence. I'm sorry to say it, but if you know what fresh sushi tastes like,...

I used to love this place and have been here several times in the past. Each time the food was great but this time we were disappointed with the food and service. The miso soup was good but the squid balls were inedible, we have eaten it several times at other restaurants and it has always been consistent, had a good texture and delicious. These were bland, did not seem fresh and were incredibly mushy on the inside. My partner mentioned this to the waiter before paying and asked if we could remove it from the bill as we were only able to eat one and he simply said "no, sorry". We were very disappointed with this reaction to our feedback and didn't appreciate having to pay for something we didn't enjoy or eat. Safe to say we won't be returning.

Would recommend Ke sushi for those who wanted to go umi but couldn’t get a table like me. I definitely enjoyed the meal but there’s still room for improvements: -karaage was very nicely done, crispy skin with tender, juicy chicken, but each piece was HUGE lol I’m used to smaller pieces but I suppose it’s just my preference. It did came quite late at the end of the meal - sushi were nice and fresh although I think they might have put a little too much sushi vinegar in the rice and therefore all the sushi were too sour for my liking but still tolerable - The tempura was definitely my least favourite and don’t recommend it as the batter was thick and also greasy which shouldn’t be the case. - Unami rice was okay but it’s a little too sweet.
