The Victoria Battersea — Restaurant in London

Not sure they have nailed the Covid19 experience. Other pubs have come up with much better ways of working. The food is half decent to be fair and the bar staff are friendly enough. One of the really frustrating things is that they show sports on the big screen and everyone is in there watching it, yet they won't put the commentary/sound on. Instead they play really loud, and not very good, music and everyone has to shout at each other. It is a complaint shared by most customers in there from my experience of chatting to groups around our table. I have been 2/3 times in the hope they would change and the same complaint is always made by lots of people. I imagine the bar staff don't like sport which is why they refuse to put the commentary on and instead listen to music to entertain themselves. Commentary has been on in the past and it was great. I'm not in London very often but on a short work trip I decided to have a bit of a walk to find some food. Stumbled upon The Victoria with plenty of outside seating catering for the late summer eaters and drinkers. Very friendly bar staff directed me to the ordering qr code on the table of my choice but also made it clear that the ordering of food was also doable at the bar. Ordered a rib eye steak and red wine via the app and the condiments and cutlery arrived swiftly, with the drink not long after. I'm very happy to say that when the steak arrived it looked amazing! The steak was slightly past medium rare however, it was all the better for it being a rib eye. Chips, tomatoes, mushrooms and rocket salad were some of the best I've eaten ever! The merlot was also top notch and went very well with the steak. Not often I give a ten out of ten but it's definitely deserved here. Well...

One of your employee has been very rude to me, just because I tried to get his attention waving at him a couple of times, he raised his voice and treated me poorly and unprofessionally. When I apologised to him, he didn’t even look at me and said “I don’t have time for this”, that’s rude and inappropriate behaviour, and he should not work with the public if he can’t handle the pressure of serving multiple customers.
