7 Sept 2022 Update to the San Gennaro Response to my initial review: Instead of offering customers to make them a new pizza when the one you sold them tastes Awful, best try to Admit a fault and try Not to use Cheap Bad tasting cheese, supply dry meats that are Not Off/Expired, and try Not to Burn the pizzas! A little Honesty and Effort could defend your brand name!

Original Review: I've lived in the area for many years and 4 years ago I was advertising San Gennaro to everyone I know as the ultimate highest quality and taste pizza in the entire London, since I've tried A LOT of pizzerias in this city and nothing really truly compared! This month I had a S.G pizza for the first time since the pandemic hit as a take away order and up to my bitter disappointment the only thing that stayed the same was the size and weight of their pizza! The base was badly overcooked and tasted charred, the "Gorgonzola" was clearly substituted for a cheap super sharp tasting blue cheese, and the Parma Ham was definitely past expiry date as it looked, smelled and tasted off which gave the pizza a disgusting overall taste!! With so many things wrong it didn't really make sense going back there reporting it or arguing about it though one thing's for sure, never again for me!! I recently had the pleasure of visiting San Gennaro for a takeaway order to enjoy at a work event in Battersea Park. From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional. We were greeted warmly and decided to buy a beer while we waited for our pizza, which was a lovely touch and greatly appreciated.

The atmosphere inside the restaurant was fantastic, creating a perfect setting to relax and enjoy our drink. As we chatted, the staff learned that we were taking our pizza to the park and generously provided us with a bag of napkins and some pots of chilli oil, ensuring we had everything we needed for our meal.

The pizza itself was absolutely delicious. The crust was perfectly cooked, and the toppings were fresh and flavourful. It was clear that a lot of care and attention went into making each pizza, and it definitely paid off.

Overall, our experience at San Gennaro was outstanding. The combination of excellent service, a welcoming atmosphere, and top-notch pizza makes this place a standout. I will certainly be returning to dine in and explore the rest of the menu. Highly...

Positive: pizza was excellent and good for value

Negative: We were seated quickly then we ordered two simple pizzas. Shortly we were moved because there was a thrio who were ‘ Italian’ which we didn’t mind at the start but after waiting about 30 mins for a pizza the Italians who they were obsessing over were given their pizza first even tho they arrived 15 mins later than us. We were not offered water or anything but the Italian clients were. After this I was ready to pay for our alcoholic drinks and go as I am not supporting a business who is discriminating clearly but suddenly the pizza appeared and the lady gave a lame excuse so we did finish the meal.
