Queenstown Road is a railway station in inner south-west London, 2 miles south-west of London Waterloo, between Vauxhall and Clapham Junction. It is a short walk from Battersea Park station and Battersea Park to the west. It has three platforms, two of which are in use by all stopping services related to the Waterloo to Reading Line: its branch services to Weybridge (via Hounslow) and two separate sets of bidirectional Waterloo-to-Waterloo services via Hounslow using the Hounslow Loop and via Kingston using the Kingston Loop. In addition, 50% of maximum peak hour trains serving the Shepperton branch line call at the station. The station was opened on 1 November 1877, by the London and South Western Railway, as Queen's Road (Battersea). The entrance still bears the name Queen's Road, not to be confused with Queens Road Peckham, Walthamstow Queen's Road or Queensway Underground station, which was also originally called Queens Road. Queen's Road was also the name of the road in which the station is located. Named after Queen Victoria, after the Second World War the street's name was changed to Queenstown Road. The station was renamed Queenstown Road (Battersea), to go with the road, on 12 May 1980. The station's modern entrance and platform signage lacks the "(Battersea)" suffix that appears in timetables and on some maps. The latest "Oyster Rail Services" map produced by Transport for London shows the station as plain "Queenstown Road". On the map produced by the station managers, South Western Railway, the station is called "Queenstown Road". The station is Grade II listed. Queenstown Road is close to the terminus of the South West Main Line but with only 2 platforms in use.

This station is served by Southwestern trains which go towards Waterloo and Clapham Junction stations. When entering the station the ticket hall area is a average size with just three ticket barriers to use. This station has security maning the station however the security staff on the ticket hall area was sitting down and looked half asleep. There is no disabled access only stairs to the platforms the station was clean and is very basic here.

This station is good just for local people because less facilities at this station. No doubt good staff, but no step-free access. Even there’s a lot stairs u need to climb. Not good for disabled or old people.

I want to commend the staff member working at Queenstown Road station today around 1:15 PM. He was incredibly helpful when my nephew accidentally left his phone on the train. The station worker immediately contacted his supervisor, Donna, at Waterloo Station to assist. Thanks to their quick coordination, the phone was found and was waiting safely at the Waterloo ticket booth for my sister to collect.

The staff member also knew exactly which train was heading to Waterloo next, as well as the return train to Queenstown Road. His knowledge and willingness to help went above and beyond, and Donna was equally supportive. Fantastic assistance from both of them!

Please note: Queenstown Road station is not particularly accessible for those with mobility issues. If you need to travel to Battersea Power Station, I recommend going to Waterloo first, then taking the Northern Line directly to Battersea Power Station for...
