Three Uncles Brixton — Restaurant in London

I was sitting in my friend's car behind Morley's in Brixton, completely unaware that my mate had dashed off to grab some food. When she returned, a look of excitement spread across her face as she said, "Dee, I got you something from this place called Three Uncles. Have you ever heard of it?"

Curiosity piqued, I replied, "No," and with a dramatic flourish, I opened the container. I intended to save the meal for later, but once I caught a whiff of the incredible aroma wafting from the box, I couldn’t resist. My goodness, the food was absolutely divine! The presentation was stunning—each dish artfully arranged, bursting with vibrant colors. It was a feast for the eyes! The smell was intoxicating, wrapping around me like a warm embrace, and the taste? It was nothing short of perfection—each bite a delightful explosion of flavors.

Since that first experience, I've taken many friends there, each time eager to share this hidden gem. I think it's only fair to say I deserve a discount now, don’t you think? Hahaha!

It was my first time ordering from Three Uncles Brixton. It’s a small clean restaurant where you can eat inside or outside in part of the market area; which creates a nice atmosphere. l liked the open kitchen where you can watch your dish being created. I found the waitress professional and friendly. I ordered Char Siu after l saw a lady eating it outside and it looked delicious. l asked her what she ordered and she pointed to it on the menu. She said it’s very tasty and chose it after she saw a man eating the Char Siu outside and thought it looked mouthwatering. So she asked him the name of the dish. I placed the takeaway order and l am glad l did as l really enjoyed it. It was quite plentiful in terms of portion size l shared it with my son. In terms of value for money it was great value. Whats worse than when you discover something amazing, hype it to your friends who also love food in that special way that you do and then you finally bring them and it’s INCONSISTENT 😤 Both portions of Chicken rice was substandard. Rice way too dry and lacked the chicken flavour of Camden’s. Wasn’t quite enough ginger sauce and chicken serving was really small and individual pieces were super scrawny. Wontons were decent. Park Choi ok but slightly over cooked if you were being honest. Iced lemon tea was bang on very authentic HK and the star of the nights meal.
