Restaurants and food joints can generally offer 2 things which can make a customer's experience pleasant. Taste of food and customer experience. Sometimes we can compromise with taste if you are hungry and even an average food can satisfy your hunger but a bad customer service can destroy the whole experience and that is one thing which can be controlled or rectified by employing the right people for the right job.
I had one of the worst experience at Truffle Burger Soho due to the incredibly rude and unprofessional behavior of the manager whose name was probably Jodie. I ordered a burger with no bacon, while she was taking order in her loud dominant tone, she asked "if you have any allergies?" to which I replied no we don't but then as the order was complete, I politely reminded her that "please remember its without bacon" to which she changed her tone to a higher pitch as if she got really offended and started questioning me very rudely " Is that an allergy? I am asking you is that an allergy" and her attitude came as a shock to which I replied " the conversation regarding allergy is over and I am just reminding you that the burger is without bacon" to which she again came back to me very rudely saying "but thats not a allergy, is it?"
The staff in this restaurant are probably compelled to bear her dominant tone and rude behaviour but she should bear in mind that customers are not her staff members.
As we already placed the order so we did not leave but if that was not the case we would have immediately left if we had known that they have such unprofessional staff. Her attitude made the whole experience horrible and waiting or eating food was just a mere formality. I was shocked by her lack of basic customer service skills and blatant disrespect. And keep in mind that you will be charged 12.5% of your bill amount for "Appalling Service Charge" whether you like it or not.
The burgers were absolutely average but you can get away with that in central London as most restaurants share similarities in taste.
We have been running our business for years now but we would have been out of business by now if we had employed people with such attitude. This kind of staff is unacceptable for any business, especially in the food industry. I will not be returning to Truffle Burger and I urge others to avoid this place if you find her in the restaurant before placing your order. Absolutely...
Read moreGreat burger, friendly staff and vibe. My wife and I went here over the weekend and had a great experience.
FOOD: When it comes to burgers, the most important thing is the meat blend, and I could tell as soon it went on the grill that their meat was fresh and of high quality due to the vibrant color, and that it was hand-formed vs. a factory-milled patty. Burger Master Elliot wouldn't tell me what cuts they use in their proprietary blend, only that "there are six different cuts of grass-fed British beef in there." The fries/chips were also very good, but the burger was by far the star...as it should be.
SERVICE: Both Elliot and our waitress were very friendly and accommodating. For example, my wife and I couldn't agree on what type of chips we wanted, so they offered to split one normal portion into two portions for us so that we could each enjoy our preferred style. KUDOS! With so much competition in the London burger space, service like this makes a massive difference.
AMBIANCE: Most of their seating is outside (which is covered) as the internal space is small, with only a few high-top tables or counter seating available. We chose to sit at the counter and had a great time chatting with the staff, plus it was fun to watch the magic happen right in front of us. Another thing we noted was how clean the kitchen/grill was, which is always comforting to know. The decor is very minimalistic, and fortunately, the music being played was chill and at a volume where you didn't need to shout to have a conversation, which we also appreciated.
VALUE: At £9-10/burger and £4 for sides, Truffle Burger is a great value for money in Central London.

Read moreOne of my favourite burger places!!!!
As I entered I was greeted by the server, who guided me to my table.
THE FOOD: The food was absolutely delicious and the texture and smells were fantastically complete. The Truffle Fries were hot and fresh and the burgers were oozing with juices and deliciousness. I noted that the quantity was little given the prices but overall the food filled me up.
MENU: Menu was simple but sufficient. I liked the way it was designed too. For instance, the words “THE FINER DINER” stuck out, which accurately described the place.
HALAL FOOD: The server soon followed up with “we have pork but it is prepared separately, apart from that everything is halal”, when I asked about the halal food.
STAFF: I also took particular note that the staff were diverse. I noted caucasians, black people and Asians, which I thought was excellent.
PARTICULAR THINGS: The small details were attentively well put together. For example, the tissues were high quality and reflected their purpose i.e. dealing with juicy burgers, which meant that one was sufficient. The music, being another example, reflected nothing too particular.
SPACES: There were also plenty of space for approximately 24 customers, which given its size, was amazing. It reflected a well thought out plan.
FRIENDLINESS: Lastly, I made small but friendly conversation with Rosie the server and she was pleasantly reciprocal. She was totally understanding and appeared to be knowledgeable about the restaurant and the food.
I will certainly going back soon.
Keep it up guys -...
