The Butterfly Trail at Outernet London is an extraordinary installation that exceeded all my expectations. The exhibit is not only visually stunning but also incredibly interactive, combining cutting-edge augmented reality (AR) elements with an engaging game experience. By scanning a QR code, visitors can actively participate in the exhibit, making it a truly immersive experience that’s fun for all ages. We stumbled upon this exhibit as soon as we exited the Tottenham Court Road station, and it immediately became our warm welcome to London. The colorful and dynamic display of butterflies, combined with its sheer scale and inviting design, creates a magical atmosphere that’s impossible to ignore. The way it integrates technology with art is nothing short of impressive. The attention to detail is remarkable, and the AR game added an extra layer of enjoyment. It’s not just an exhibit to look at—it’s something you can actively be a part of, which makes it stand out from many other installations I’ve seen. Kudos to the creators for designing such an innovative and engaging space. This is more than just an art installation; it’s an experience that leaves you in awe. Whether you’re a local or just visiting London, I highly recommend stopping by to see this incredible piece of modern art and technology. The Butterfly Trail is a must-see and a perfect example of how art and technology can merge to create something truly unique. Hats off to whoever envisioned and executed this masterpiece—it’s an unforgettable highlight of the city.

If you're looking for a free, immersive, and downright delightful experience in London, then look no further than the Butterfly Trail at Outernet! This vibrant digital art installation isn't just a show; it's a sensory journey that will leave you feeling light as a feather. Step into the captivating world of the Butterfly Trail, and prepare to be dazzled. Towering LED screens transform the space into a kaleidoscope of colors, where hundreds of pixelated butterflies flutter and flit across the digital landscape. The Butterfly Trail isn't just a visual spectacle; it's interactive too! By scanning a QR code, you can unleash a flurry of virtual butterflies that follow your movements. Watch them land on your outstretched finger or dance around your head – it's a playful and magical experience that's sure to put a smile on your face, no matter your age.

We went out of our way recently to stop off at the Tottenham Court Road tube station to marvel at this free video/audio "exhibition". Along with many other visitors, we enjoyed the Butterfly Trail in one of the open halls and then moved on to the next huge set of (interactive?) screens. They were showing MILAGRO by Victoria Fard. It's a curious mixture of flowering plants, wild creatures and towering skyscrapers - Oh, any astronauts (I think). All very colourful & rather surreal. I was visiting this with my nine year old granddaughter who strangely got bored quite quickly so we moved slowly on to our next venue on our whistle stop tour around London.
