Vegan Planet — Restaurant in London

Visited today and unfortunately have to give it a low ish score. Food is very basic, some things were amazing. Others you can tell were heated up from frozen. The chips were partially frozen. It's a shame because the flavours were nice. It's abit mixed on reviews. It's superrrrrrr expensive for what it is!!! SMALL portions. And heavily pricey. We paid £100 for 2 of us and not alot of food. Its nice but I wouldn't go again unfortunately. For these prices I could go to a five star restaurant and have a 3 course meal. Food is nice for a quick vegan chinese. It isn't that bad. It's just the money is definitely not worth what they charge at all. The staff were lovely when bringing over the food and telling us what each dish was but apart from that, no check backs at any part during the dinner. Charging high prices and 12.5% service charge I would of expected a better experience. The restaurant itself inside is clean but lacks a certain atmosphere. If you can afford to eat here then great! This place has a range of authentic Chinese dishes. I visited on a Sunday evening with friends and we were sat at the back of the restaurant which was almost empty, and very quiet. We ordered several dishes to share and the food arrived quickly. We ordered 3 mains along with dim sum, xlb, rice, and noodles. Portions were just about big enough to share between 3 - I think 1 person could easily eat a main and a side or 2 even without a big appetite. My favourite was the sea-spicy aubergine which had a pleasant kick to it. I was excited to order vegan xiao long bao but was extremely disappointed when I bit into it and there was no soup inside! The group ordered desserts - cheesecake, chocolate cake, fried banana and ice cream. I was shocked at how small the slice of cheesecake was, especially considering when it arrived there was a big piece missing. Overall the food was ok, it's great to find an all vegan Chinese restaurant, but there were a few let downs and I think I enjoyed the food and atmosphere more at branches...

Came here to celebrate a birthday and the service was substandard to say the least. Staff were not very attentive, after being shown to a table we were ignored by staff. We were not given any menus, water or asked what we would like to drink. The portions sizes were small and have definitely decreased since the last time I came here - especially for the prices charged. The only time we got attention and some enthusiasm from staff was when we asked to pay the bill. We opted to pay without service charge because the service was poor, the waiter became rude and argumentative telling us we shouldn’t dine in if we don’t want to pay service charge. This is not how you treat customers. I explained that this is an optional service that I was unwilling to pay and was met with more rudeness. This experience ruined what was meant to be a celebratory occasion. I will not be returning again and suggest that staff have some further training around customer service to avoid complaints like this...
