AVOID AT ALL COST. I just had the worst experience with a Deliveroo order from this Hammersmith Wasabi restaurant. I'm not one to write negative reviews, unless in extreme situations, and I don't know who cooked and served my Tofu Curry, but as I've never been so badly served, ever, i have to leave this review here, in the hopes that the restaurant managers see it and attend to a definite problem within this particular Wasabi restaurant. The tofu I was served was mostly totally burnt, to the point that it was totally black and I couldn't even recognise it as being tofu for starts.
Thankfully, Deliveroo managed to refund me for the Tofu Curry's value, but the work ethics of whoever is working on this kitchen today are totally deplorable. Who can trust someone who cooks and serves like this with any Health & Safety principles? No one.
I've worked in a few restaurants & in loads of bars for 6+ years and I do know how hard it gets when busy, and I am sympathetic of how tough it sometimes gets, I very rarely complain about any issues with my food as I try to get in the shoes of whoever is working in the kitchen, everyone makes mistakes, but this is totally unacceptable as it is impossible for this issue not to have been noticed by whoever was cooking and preparing the dishes. This person has to be fired as a kitchen is no place for him to work (if management is not at faults here, we'll never know...).
Besides that, the very few pieces of Tofu I could eat tasted horrid, nothing like the "regular" Wasabi Tofu Curry; the rice was bland. The dose, even counting the burnt pieces, was smaller than most times. I know this is a first-world problem but my dissatisfaction with this order is so big it doesn't fit on this comment.
I do have photos of the burnt tofu and can share them with any interested parts; I am not posting them here as they look disgusting.
EDIT: I had just written the above review regarding the Tofu Curry when I opened up what I thought was my Vegetable Gyozas, when I noticed a foul smell; thinking "i can't believe they served me veggie gyozas that went foul!" as I went to get a small bite to try them, after turning the package I read "Crispy Chicken Gyozas" as I realised that the foul smell of of nothing else then dead, cooked animal carcasses. THIS IS THE WORST RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD. I will escalate this to Wasabi's top...
Read moreI felt compelled to share my experience at Wasabi Hammersmith, where I have been a regular customer for the past 7 days. The reason for my review is the exceptional customer service provided by Vinod, one of the customer assistants.
From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, Vinod's professionalism stood out. On my first visit, he took the time to patiently explain the menu and recommend dishes, which was incredibly helpful as I was unsure of what to order. Unlike other staff members I observed, Vinod exhibited remarkable patience and attentiveness.
Vinod's presentation was impeccable, and his friendly demeanor made me feel welcome and valued as a customer. His genuine smile and dedication to providing great customer service were evident in every interaction.
Not only did Vinod excel in customer service, but the food at Wasabi Hammersmith was also exceptional. Thanks to Vinod's recommendations, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and have since become a regular patron of the restaurant.
I believe Vinod deserves recognition for his outstanding customer service and dedication to ensuring a positive dining experience for customers. Thank you, Vinod, for your wonderful service, and keep up the...
Read moreI will just make it short. SEPT. 27 Monday. The staff of this branch is that I am not sure if he is the supervisor of this restaurant. I can only say very poor customer service, very rude and showing aggressive to a customer is that the way he was train? He don't deserve his position. As a staff who is train should know how to handle this kind of situation respectfully to a customers not showing rudeness to a customer. If this staff talk to me calmly we can managed to sort it out. But the way I see is that he doesn't deserve the position where he is now. This kind of attitude should not be tolerated when it happens again to others. And one thing many times I bought a noodle soup the only available toppings all the time is chilles. NO coriander and fried onions. The staffs in this branch needs to be...
