First of all, I want to say that we really enjoyed the food, which is why we came back for a second/third visit.

However, we were quite disappointed that part of the beers we ordered were served warm. (Again, last time was the problem with the tap) Unfortunately, the staff didn’t inform us of this beforehand or ask if we’d prefer something else. Although we were later given an ice bucket upon request, the beers remained quite warm and weren’t enjoyable. To be honest, I think my friends were too generous in accepting them as they were.

I chose not to say anything at the time, but things became more frustrating when we received the bill and noticed we were charged for the onion rings, which were supposed to be complimentary(the app reward). When we brought this up, the staff refused to amend the payment, saying it had already been processed.

As someone who has worked in hospitality, I completely understand that bad days happen. But I don’t think that justifies serving warm beers without notice or being unwilling to correct a billing error unless pressed.

At that point, I had to firmly ask, “We’re already unhappy with the beers—can you not refund the current bill and charge us the correct amount instead?” I feel that if I hadn’t spoken seriously, nothing would have been done to fix the situation.

Overall, it was a disappointing experience in terms of service, which is why I’ve left a 2-star review. We weren’t expecting fine dining or exceptional service at a fast food place, but you do serve great food—and it would be a shame to let service issues like this spoil the customer experience.

For your safety, please do not go to Honest Burgers Hammersmith if you have an allergy. All the servers said there were no nuts in the pesto burger my friend had when she asked many servers multiple times. She then suffered a severe allergic reaction to the pine nuts in the pesto, putting her health and potentially her life at risk. After she left to go to the hospital, my friend approached a server to confront her, and she was both dismissive and patronising to protect her own self, even blaming my friend herself for ordering pesto (although she was assured there were no nuts).

Awful service and appallingly disrespectful servers. We will not be returning, again please stay away from this restaurant for your own safety if you have allergies as you can't trust the servers here to report the contents of their own food accurately.

I am stunned that such foul service and waitressing could be permitted at an establishment so well-respected in the industry, especially after the recent passing of Hannah Jacobs. The waitresses should be ashamed of themselves for being so negligent.
