My goodness! Where do I begin?! With Milk is AMAZING! We came to London for the Renaissance concert and stumbled upon this gem. With being an avid coffee drinker I was on a mission to find the perfect cup while in town. At the time I did not realize that I was in for such a treat and experience. After googling away, we came across With Milk and immediately jumped to their website. Before long our minds were made up that we had to go and try it out. I am sooooo glad that we did.
The sisters are such genuinely nice people. They were very helpful in explaining the blends and the food. One of the owners even gave us a sample of each of the fresh cheeses that they sell in the shop. Everyone from the customers to the owners were so welcoming and warm. It was like visiting a distant relative that you hadn't seen in some time.
We opted to buy one of each of their many croissants. I had the arugula, caramelized onion and goat cheese croissant and OMG!!!! LIFE CHANGING! The flavors are out of this world and that is no exaggeration. Don't even get me started on the coffee! It was absolutely perfect! Certainly in my top 5 favorite cups of coffee ever. Everything was so amazingly good, we came back again before leaving for the states. I even purchased a block of their fresh blue cheese. That is saying a lot because I typically hate blue cheese but not theirs! I do not know what magic they have but certainly keep it up!
If you are ever in London, this is the place to be! If you live in London and have never been, it is time to check them out. They offer fresh cheese, bread, food, amazing coffee/tea, and even quirky greeting cards. Most importantly they offer a rarity which is a familiarity of home when you walk through their doors.
From the locals from the neighborhood to the sisters that own With Milk, thank you for your impeccable hospitality. Each time that we visit London we are absolutely going to stop by and enjoy the food, coffee, and...
Read moreI'll start on a positive note and say that I really like the coffee and the atmosphere at With Milk. Unfortunately as much as I want to continue going there, every time I'm there I end up having to wait 20 or so minutes for a coffee even when it isn't busy - it does seem like the staff aren't staying on top of things. Also, they only seem to do one size of coffee which isn't ideal as they're all flat white sized and I'd like a much larger one but maybe that's just my preference! One last suggestion as well - it would be helpful if the sandwiches and baked goods were labelled with what they were and the cost instead of just having them on display. It must get really annoying for the staff having to go through each item, the allergens they contain and the cost for every customer that asks, not to mention being a waste of everyone's time if I ask what every item is and then decide I actually don't want any of them! Also strangely no price on the coffee...
Read moreThis is a really nice coffee shop and the owners seem friendly and the coffee is really nice, but they need to do much better in regards to allergies. I asked which cakes were vegan and was told the brownie, carrot cake and berry crumble were all vegan. I was going to order the brownie when my husband asked to doublecheck the ingredients. She got the packaging out and realised the brownie was actually gluten-free not vegan and it contained milk and eggs which my son is severely allergic to. If we had taken her at her word and let him try a little bit of the brownie we would’ve had to call an ambulance for him. We asked about the ingredients of the carrot cake but the member of staff couldn’t find the list of ingredients for that cake and wasn’t able to tell us what it contained. I strongly suggest that the staff of With Milk invest in some allergy training and better...
