I used to live in London in the late 80s and there were only 2 sushi bars in The City, one at Mitsukoshi department store and the other, a small but expensive one in Covent Gardens. Brits didn't eat anything that looked like it may have been alive, in those days! There were rarely any brits in either restaurant but how things have changed. On my first evening back in London in many years, I was delighted to find You Me Sushi a short walk from my hotel. I was attracted by the various Poke bowls on the menu but their sashimi looked even better and having spent time in Hawaii a few weeks ago, I decided on the Sashimi. It was completely Keto friendly and delicious! I was suspect because it was prepackaged and ready for take out, but I ate in. The maguro and sake (salmon) was first quality and a well sized portion. There was just enough seaweed salad and soy/ginger/wasabe to make for a perfect and efficient dinner stop. I will definitely go back again during my 10 day stay. Staff was friendly and attentive.
I have spent as much as $300 a head at the likes of Kabuto-edomae sushi in Las Vegas and Orlando, You Me Sushi was a truly enjoyable experience, cost effective and would also be a fantastic take away. But Wait, There's More! Their Miso Soup was...
Read moreI’ve tried sushi all over the world, but nothing compares to the sushi and katsu I had at You Me Sushi on Earl’s Court Road. If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! The service was exceptional truly next level. The manager was incredibly kind, warm and welcoming, I was made to feel like I was dining at a Michelin-star restaurant. The sushi was simply outstanding. And as someone who usually avoids chicken, I was shocked by how much I loved the chicken katsu it was the first thing gone from the plate! The portions were generous and very satisfying. The spicy volcano rollI had the perfect amount of spicy in it, the tuna rainbow roll was one of my favourites. Fish is very FRESH! Gyzoas were very light and delicious. And the mochis were the perfect desert for our lovely feast. I felt genuinely welcomed from the moment I walked in. I’ll definitely be recommending this location to everyone I know from all around the world!

Read moreVILE! OLD IKURA GIVEN, I ONLY REALISED WHEN GOT HOME AND OPENED IT. CALLED THEM AND WAS BASICALLY MADE TO LOOK LIKE SOME CHEAP IDIOT INVENTING STORIES TO GET SOMETHING FOR FREE... Even though I took pictures of how discoloured it was. Seaweed-I asked for just seaweed and none of those bizarre noodles, they gave me HALF OF THE PORTION, HALF!!! they're now almost as bad as itsu which is a disgrace, not just because it pretends to know anything about Japanese food but about food period. Ever seen chives or better yet PARSLEY on sushi in Japan or Roka/Aqua/Nobu?? No? BECAUSE IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE THERE!
WON'T BE BUYING ANYTHING FROM YOUMESUSHI EVER AGAIN, WHAT A BLOODY JOKE! IMPORTANT FURIOUS ABOUT THE SEAWEED AND IKURA, BOTH COST 10£, ONE IS HALF THE PORTION AND ANOTHER IS OBVIOUSLY PAST ITS "USE BEFORE" DATE. STAFF ARE IGNORANT, CARELESS AND CAN HARDLY SPEAK ENGLISH..Whats the point of hiring someone who doesn't speak, doesn't understand...
