#gifted An evening at Ziggy Green in London is an experience like no other! 🌟🍽️ 🤩 This venue pays homage to David Bowie's legacy with stunning artworks, a refined dinner menu, and exceptional cocktails. We were treated to an exquisite dinner accompanied by the enchanting sounds of live piano music, creating a magical atmosphere that was truly unforgettable. After dining, we descended to the Colony Room, a reimagined version of the notorious Soho drinking den, curated by artist and former club member Darren Coffield. The original Colony Room, which operated from 1948 to 2008, was a Bohemian hub frequented by celebrities like Francis Bacon and Lucian Freud. Coffield's immersive art installation recreates the infamous atmosphere of the Colony Room, with a strict no-phone policy and a requirement for members to be interesting, echoing the rules set by original proprietor Muriel Belcher. Guests can enjoy affordable drinks, including house wine at 2008 prices and Espresso Martinis in tribute to Dick Bradsell, the legendary barman who invented the cocktail for Kate Moss. The live piano music added elegance to the cozy yet sophisticated ambiance of Ziggy Green. Whether you’re a food enthusiast, music lover, or seeking a unique night out in London, Ziggy Green is the perfect destination. The blend of gourmet dining and live music provides a refreshing escape from the city's hustle and bustle. Can’t wait to return! 🎹✨ #ZiggyGreen #LondonDining #LiveMusic #CulinaryExperience #Londonhotspots #londonbar #londonrestaurants #francisbacon #katemoss #regentstreet #mayfair #FoodieFavorites #UnforgettableNights #MusicalDelights

I would give this restaurant a lower rating if I could. I honestly cannot understand the hype around this chain based on this restaurant. As context, the restaurant was empty apart from my group of 5, another group of 5 and a couple in the corner. We spent maybe 3-4 hours there, not necessarily by choice.

  1. The staff had no concept of table waiting generally, nor health and safety, were clumsy, and to say service was slow would be an understatement.

A plate of nachos and non-alcoholic drinks took 30 minutes to come out, service between courses took around an hour, even though we were only eating two soft tacos each. We kept getting different staff serving us, and one nearly dropped the paper from the tray on me when picking it up which had sauce on it. Such poor service made us not bother asking for remedies as we had doubts about when or if we would get any food back.

Health and safety-wise, one of the staff thought a 5 litre plastic bottle made for an excellent stool to precariously perch upon and put back alcohol bottles on a shelf way too high for any practical purpose, and of which, the left cabinet had been installed upside-down.

  1. The food is mediocre at best

Nachos were ok, not great, I'd say edible. Our tacos again tasted ok but were luke-warm and overpriced. There should have been at least three offered as the large plates were inexplicably not being served that evening. Still hungry, we tried for dessert (mudpie and cheesecake). The mudpie was a glorified monolith of chocolate cake, no fudginess, dry, bland and too big. They tried to put lipstick on a pig with coconut and a couple of tiny yellow flowers, but just added to said dryness. I left half of it despite being hungry. The best bit was the half of a strawberry and sauce on the plate. The cheesecake was a PITA to share and eat, and from what I tried of my friend's dish, the biscuit crumb was sickly and an uncomfortable texture in the mouth.

  1. This restaurant does not know what it wants to be and is not properly furnished

Décor was gaudy with a surface level connection Ziggy Stardust or to the supposed Aussie heritage, instead opting for a predominantly Mexican menu with some (I would consider) European/American style desserts. The only things that connected the restaurant to Ziggy other than location were some artworks around the room and the lightning bolt here and there. The rest you might find in an Argos showroom or their catalogue for the modern woman's living room or kitchen/dining room. I noted some vinyl covers on one wall but of Katy B and Years & Years from what I could tell. They just play on the location of their store; they aren't an homage to Ziggy/Bowie at all.

The only thing that suggested Aussie was the sign by the door saying "Aussie café". To be frank, that just added to all of the confusion of this place. As mentioned, I am sure some of the units were installed incorrectly or for some strangely tall Aussie because some of the bottles must have been 10+ feet from the ground, and again, one unit was installed upside-down or was just completely impractical for a restaurant/bar. Finally, one of us sitting on the chair had to swap it out because it was hurting their back.

If you have made it this far, congratulations! I hope you now never have to suffer the displeasure of eating at this restaurant and wasting hours of your life and money doing so. There are far better restaurants around in London, try...

We hired Ziggy Green for our wedding reception on the 11th of July and we were blown away with the service we received.

Firstly, Georgia our events manager supported us throughout the whole planning process. She was friendly, professional, creative and flexible. On the day she ensured everything ran like clockwork and were so grateful for all of her help. We couldn’t have done it without her!

Emy, the restaurant manager, is simply amazing. During the planning process, whenever we popped in she remembered us and was always so friendly. On the day, she went above and beyond to ensure that everything was spot on. All of our guests commented on how lovely she was.

We didn’t get all of the names, however, all of the waiters / waitresses provided outstanding service. They were polite and ensured that everyone had their drinks topped up and that everyone had eaten. One in particular looked out for us as the Bride and Groom, making sure we had eaten.

The food was fantastic. Georgia helped us to cater for many dietary requirements and all of our guests commented on the quality of the food served on the day which isn’t easy when serving large numbers.

Ziggy Green also provided a DJ for us on the day very last minute due to technical issues with the one we’d booked privately. He was friendly, flexible and helped to continue the atmosphere that had been created early on in the day. Georgia organised this for us so quickly and the DJ arrived and set up extremely quickly. I’d recommend using one of the DJs offered by Ziggy Green if required.

We’d highly recommend Ziggy Green for a private event and based on the service provided, I’m sure that this would be carried through to any of the Daisy Green venues.

Thank you so much team Ziggy Green for helping to make our day so special! We will be...

Took my dad for his birthday, as a recommend place by my sister. The service was so terrible, we left before we could finish. We worked off a set menu, and were pressured to order everything up front. Which was frustrating as we didn’t get time to look at the menu, and had no drinks at the table. Not even water. The manager made no sense about the set menus they have, and just confused us more. They lied about how the set menu worked, as we doubled checked online. When we did finally get drinks and food, it was over 45 minutes from ordering. Then waited another hour for our mains. There was no staff to be found, they disappeared and forgot we existed a lot of the time. We left before we could have our dessert as we didn’t want to waste time at a terrible restaurant. The manager asked for some feedback when we’re leaving, we said the service was terrible and did not live up to expectations. He tried excuse this by saying it a full restaurant that the staff is stretched. I would normally be fine with this, but the staff disappeared most of the night to downstairs. Where we found them all on their phones ignoring costumers asking for things upstairs. It was incredibly disappointing, especially as we spent over £300 there. We tried to leave without paying the full bill because of the service but the manager was being so difficult we wanted to leave. Now discussing with higher ups about receiving a full refund, as they tried to excuse everything they did wrong with their service. Basically, don’t go. Save your money and go to the pub around the corner. Much...
