i am a very old customer of them london bradford or Manchester ambala was always a part of every occasion in my house ...... but my last night s experience was enough for me to go to somewhere else for mithai .it was my daughter'sbday and she finished her quran so my bad i went there for mithai . mithai is not only stale and soggy but the staff is equally rude and disrespectful. ... i went from barnsley and it took me an hr to reach there and an hr to come back ..... i even said to the rude guy there tht the other pile of jalebi looks more fresh but he insisted tht the 1 hes giving me from is fresh too which turned out soggy and stale when i opened it at home not to forget dry gulab jamun and soggy balu shahi where habshi halwa seems orite. i asked for halwa poori which i had b4 at tht time and he was quite rudely said " 100 ka order do to abhi bana doon 8 ke liye nahi banata". so if some1 wanna deal with all this then atleast dont trust them or their words and taste 1st...

Blah blah ... " She said its ok I will pay extra. Then it was my turned he was keep rushing my order and I asked if I can take pic and answer was " pay first and then can take picture 😬" It was total 4 people and we 2 were first entered and 2 men came after us. Read moreBy far the best thing about Ambala is the Halwa/Chana Puri for 2 that costs only £5. Unlike a lot of other places, they make it daily so it's always available whenever it may take your fancy. For this, I fully recommend Ambala.
As for the actual mithai, it should be noted that it's not fried in ghee which does affect the taste somewhat, hence 4 stars.
Other than that, the seating area is clean, if a little on the small side. It's definitely best for groups of 2-3.
