Cloudwater has been my favorite brewery for a long time, and I finally got to visit! Came every day of the four I was in Manchester.
The space is quite industrial, but still cozy, with seating downstairs and upstairs, right be the barrel wall. Vibe is friendly and lively, with plenty of regular events.
Beer selction is around 20, with one or two casks. Variety is superb, from easy drinking lagers to huge triple IPAs. Quality is absolutely top notch.
They don't serve food of their own, but often have local vendors in. On our visits, it was Rizzo´s, and my goodness. Heavenly pizza and arancini served by the loveliest people imaginable.
So beer and food, awesome. But what kept us coming were the people. Everyone was so friendly and seemed genuinely interested in their customers. Just huge shout outs to Paul, Alice (with pup!), Tom and everyone else for making these visits so special. I...
Read moreTastes may vary, of course, but didn't rate the beer as much as the competition's from across the road. We always wanted to try the Cloudwater and with Track closed it seemed like the perfect opportunity. The main drinking area is upstairs, looks pleasant enough, liked the cushions area, didn't find much info on the beers served, either from the staff or online. The major disappointment were the toilets. For me no separate women facilities is a big no no. Walking in and finding men adjusting their underpants is not a sight I want to see. Opted to go downstairs with baby changing facilities (there was a man there too who thankfully left), but there was not a shred of paper and the toilet was dirty. That probably comes from shared facilities and lack of rigorous and frequent cleaning. Will be a long time before I'm ready to brave that...
Read moreI attended the beer tour and had an incredible experience, even though I’m not really into beer! Clare was absolutely exceptional—she was knowledgeable, engaging, and her passion for brewing was truly contagious. She explained everything so clearly and made the tour enjoyable for everyone, regardless of their level of interest or expertise in beer.
I initially joined the tour as a gift for my boyfriend, who loves beer, but I ended up having a great time myself. Clare's energy and enthusiasm made it easy to appreciate the craft and history behind the process. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone, whether you’re a beer enthusiast or just curious about the brewing world. Thank you, Clare, for making it such a...
