My friend ordered a takeaway curry rice from this restaurant, and we had a truly disappointing experience. The food was packed in a paper bag, and the curry sauce was not sealed properly. After carrying it for just 10 minutes, the sauce leaked through the bag, which completely broke apart — and by the time we realized it, curry had spilled all over our coats, soaking through the fabric. It was literally everywhere. One of the coats, my favorite, was badly damaged and may not be salvageable.
This was clearly a packaging issue. The sauce should have been properly sealed, and a paper bag is simply not suitable for heavy, saucy food items. A plastic or double-layered option would have been more appropriate.
What made the experience worse was the staff's unprofessional attitude. They refused to acknowledge any responsibility, offered no refund or compensation, and simply handed us a dish sponge as if that would fix the issue. This lack of empathy and accountability was extremely disappointing.
I really hope the management takes this seriously, investigates the incident, and provides proper training to staff on customer service and safe food packaging. This was not just inconvenient — it was genuinely upsetting, and I wouldn't want other customers to go through...
Read moreNice place, but was little disappointing for japanese food fans. Me and my partner really like japanese food and places, and this was just not it.
SERVICE: Started by ordering a green tea that comes in a pot and were surprised when they refused to give us an extra cup saying to order 2 pots. Obviously, we drank from one cup as the pot was huge. The servers, in general, are very reachable but not as helpful.
FOOD: The food was not more than okay. It was all fresh and no poisoning of course, however, missing a lot of flavor. We ordered 2 ramens and 1 roll. As for the Ramen itself was really nice in texture and look, but tasted like spaghetti in soy water.. the rolls were fine, but no flavor at all except of the sauces on it, tasted like regular rice with mayo (the fish was completely tasteles)
ATMOSPHERE: Very quiet. Good if you want to eat on your own, we were seating right next to the kitchen and there was a little bit of music coming from it (you can barely hear it) and some lamps and nice stuff, but nothing special and a little dirty and small.
Overall, we had a decent experience that wasn't horrible, but I would definitely recommend finding a better place for japanese food and...
Read moreI love let’s sushi from Sheffield but unfortunately I think the Manchester branch lacks in various aspects and in need of some simple improvements.
The sushi quality was decent but the service itself was really slow, the restaurant was only being handled by one male staff on a Friday night which is pretty poor for one of your busiest nights of the week.
Another point which I think is criminal in Asian restaurants is the ordering system, you’re forced to make an order via qr code on your team from your phone which is completely fine but WHY does none of the special signature rolls have any description of what’s inside each roll?
It’s incredibly baffling because I can’t imagine how the customers will know what sushi they’re ordering if they don’t know what’s inside? It just causes so much more work for your customers and your waiting staff as they need to explain it each time so surely would be common sense to add this...
