My Partner and I attended Cafe North this morning to grab a quick bite before catching the train and ordered 2 x Sausage, Mushroom and Cheese on toast and 2 x Cappuccinos - what arrived was a cheese on toast and two sausages and a portion of mushrooms 😣. The toast was white, not even toasted properly, tasted like hard bread rather than toast. I called the server over and asked who it came as it did and he said “we don’t do what you asked for on the menu” - surely they do a Sausage on toast and you can add mushrooms or cheese????? Anyway, we didn’t have time to re-order so we asked for the bill immediately as we didn’t have a long wait before the train and when it arrived £28.50!!!! I called the server over and question why it was so expensive he said we only asked for cheese on toast and sausages and mushrooms - I said I would never have ordered that - we eat out for breakfast all the time and would never ask for that all separate!!!! He proceeded to claim we did with no apology or anything! We asked for sausage, sausage mushroom and cheese on toast - not sausages and mushrooms and cheese on toast separately!!! He clearly misunderstood but chose to bill this all individually rather that offering to re-bill as a full portion not three separates! We are far from tight and have no problem paying best part of 30 quid for a breakfast but for a sausage on toast with two extras is disgusting, this is nown to be one of the expensive cafes but that’s ridiculous and to top it all off he was very vocal to other members of staff in from of other customers. We are pretty much the other side of the cafe and could her him as well as all the other patrons in there! Embarrassing! No apology, no rectification, just plain rude service - another member of the team was sent over to take payment so we paid and left! Will not be going back again!!

I had never visited this café before due to the huge queue outside but today it was quiet and I’ve decided to pay them a visit. The café is located at the hearth of Manchester, a few steps away from Shudehill Station, Manchester Arndale, The Printworks and Corner Exchange. The design of the café is informal and cosy. It has large windows that let the light come in, while you sit in a modern environment that presents as relaxing, as well as vibrant at the same time. There is a good choice of high-quality food with excels in the presentation as well as the taste. You can eat traditional breakfast items, as well as indulgent deserts, French toasts, pancakes and waffles. They have also a small selection of pastries and cakes and an abundant variety of drinks, spacing from home-made smoothies to cocktails, all diligently prepared while you wait. Despite being busy, the service was incredibly fast and the staff friendly and welcoming. When you consider all the above, you would expect to pay high prices and various surcharges (as it does happen in many cafes and restaurants in Manchester) but, surprisingly, this is not the case! Prices are appropriate and you pay exactly what you order, without any hidden gratuity or service surcharge. If you are in Manchester, I definitely recommend paying them a visit as this is definitely a local gem!

One of the best brunch spots in Manchester 10/10! I visited Café North with my sister and we were honestly blown away. The food was absolutely delicious we ordered the Traditional English Breakfast, fluffy pancakes, and French toast with toppings (SO good 😍). The portion sizes were generous, and everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavour. We also had their summer fruits with fresh apple & ginger juice and a rich hot chocolate — both were perfect and super refreshing. The drinks alone made the visit worth it! The café itself is really cute and cosy, with an aesthetic interior and a lovely view of Manchester city centre from the window seating. It’s the perfect spot for a chill brunch date, catch-up with friends, or even a solo treat-yourself moment. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. You can tell they care about the experience as much as the food. Highly recommend if you’re in Manchester and looking for a brunch spot that delivers both on taste and vibes. I’ll definitely be back!

Visited Cafe North at the end of May while visitingManchesterforthe weekend. Went for breakfast both mornings here. The first morning we got seated immediately. It's a very nice cafe. First thing I noticed was the fresh fruit and veg which gave a thumbs up straight away. The service was great, very friendly and efficient. The menu is great ,good selection of breakfasts for a variety of tastes. The presentation of the food was great. I ordered scrambled egg on toast with hollandaise sauce .The food was delicious. A good cup of tea aswell another bonus. The place got fairly busy as we were leaving vowed to be back the next day which we did. On day two the que was up the street. We waited 10mins for a seat but we knew from the previous day it was so worth it. I ordered French toast with macaroons and fruit 😋 absolutely amazing I devoured it completely. I got a side of crispy streaky bacon too which was might fine. The que kept growing as we wee eating. I would 100% recommend 👌 absolutely perfection from start to finish, a delightful cafe and very...
