Don’t even know where to start. I am so so so shocked in the service provided by them. No manager in store you can speak to because it’s just ran by workers. The boss is in after 6 to speak to him even then I have to ring up and chase it up they won’t call me. What is customer service to them I don’t know. I placed an order with them several times always had problems, if a business can’t be run you should really consider closing it. I placed an order at 2:30 said it’ll be delivered at 3:15, then the order time went up by half an hour which is understandable okay fair enough because of the weather. One of the workers rang and said it will be delayed even more so I said I want to speak to a manager no manager there, boss doesn’t want his number getting given out probably because he knows the customer service is shocking. Why is it past 4:45 and my order still isn’t here they rang and said 30% discount okay fair enough another half an hour later got a call saying it’s going to be even more late because they have 1 delivery man. If that’s the case don’t have your restaurant up on just eat and give customer false hope. While I was speaking to the man he said the driver is here we will send your food now so I questioned and asked if the food was ready he hesitated he said we will make it now and send it with driver. It’s not only delivery even in store they do the same thing make customers wait around while they take ages to prepare the order. There’s only 3 staff members in there. The man who rang me was polite but towards the end started being extremely rude and said he can cancel the order and advised me to order from else where so shocking that I’ve been waiting for that long for him to turn around and say that. Absolute rubbish service never returning to this scam takeaway.
This is the second time I caught the staff over charging me by around £4.50. Same guy Indian accent wearing a silver bracelet on his left hand.
I made the order and paid and as I was waiting for my food I realised the bill did not seem right so I stated going through my bill and the menu. To my astonishment I was charged £4.5 extra on a £22 order. I complained and the staff at first started making up excuses and then when I asked about the Piri Piri salt it was 30p for free salt you get in any restaurant in the world. If you charge for sprinkling salt on fries then why don’t you write on the menu or explain to the customer that Piri Piri salt is 30p. What a cheap scam. When I caught the staff on this point they started blaming the management. Ok, what about the other £3.60 you added on for side order which I did not even order? No answer a plain “sorry made a mistake”. That’s the second time in 2 weeks, definitely a cheap tactic to rip off customers and very low of this takeaway.
Food was burnt because I complained and the cooking staff could hear me complaining so they deliberately spoilt my food.
It was a takeaway so I threw the food in the bin.

I had an awful experience with Pepes on Saturday, 23rd November 2024. I placed an order at 8:00 PM, and it was nothing short of a circus. Half of my food arrived, but the rest didn’t come until 9:30 PM – nearly an hour and a half later – after they completely failed to send it out the first time.
The staff had no idea what they were doing. Every time I called, I spoke to a different person who gave me conflicting information. Some claimed the food had already been sent out, while others said it hadn’t. It felt like no one was in charge, and no one cared enough to resolve the issue.
On top of that, they kept calling me, saying a driver was there, then wasn’t, and back and forth like that multiple times. When I finally spoke to the drivers, it turned out they were there, but Pepes just couldn’t get their act together.
To make matters worse, when I finally managed to speak to the manager, they were incredibly rude, made an offensive remark, and then hung up on me. The level of unprofessionalism was shocking.
Pepes wasted my evening with their poor service, lack of communication, and complete incompetence. I will never order from them again, and I strongly recommend...
