Incredible feast!

I've had the S&P in London on my list for a while so a new Manchester branch much nearer to home made the visit a lot easier! The food was everything I hoped it would be, probably even better.

The Truffle Burger was delightful. Excellently cooked smashed patties and lovely flavour from the truffle sauce. It was a little more peppery than I'd like but not overpowering though. The added crunch from the crispy onions and added gherkins as well as the soft sweet brioche bun made every bite super satisfying.

I heard good things about the Algerian Tenders but feared they'd be spicy. The guy serving gave good advice and also suggested having 2 with BBQ sauce. The BBQ ones were superb but the Algerian sauce was unreal! Definitely the star of the show. Only a small kick of spice which I softened with the cool house slaw which was also very enjoyable and a huge portion. The sauce was quite buttery in flavour so very rich which probably played a part in my struggle to eat it all. The bigger obstacle was the size of the tenders. Huge pieces of chicken with loads of sauce but still incredibly crispy. Some of the best tenders I've ever had. Best to share them or as a meal on their own though.

So yes I didn't quite finish the chicken and fries as I didn't want to make myself ill from overeating but it took a fight with myself to stop eating because of how delicious it all was!

The service was fantastic and the place has a nice atmosphere for eating. Good value for money...

We initially went for the Flying Dutchman simply because of it's virality. We knew it wasn't going to live up to the hype as the level of virality doesn't directly correlate with how good that said thing is.

Having said that, the Beef patties and the Onion "bun" were both delicious. It was quite a messy affair, but thankfully you are provided with gloves to somewhat alleviate that problem. As much as we enjoyed it, the portion size is way too small and it isn't something we'd particularly go back for.

The Korean Bird Burger was the showstopper for us. The mildly sweet Korean Chicken was tender and full of flavour. The pieces of Chicken were so much more substantial compared to the Beef. If you want better value for money, this is definitely the go-to option.

The other standout was the Angus Loaded Fries. The mince had just the right amount of sauce so as to not completely soak the bed of Fries. This meant that they remained crispy until the very end.

We were very full by the time we finishd, but due to how good everything was, there was no crumb left behind.

The service was also very fast and friendly. As busy as the place was, we were seated promptly and we were also offered better seating once someone else had moved on.

Price wise I'd say it's on the more expensive side. Although, depending on the things you order, the price can start to look more reasonable. We spent £35 between two of us and we...

Nothing special.

We visited the restaurant over the weekend and ordered an array of items, the Korean Bird burger was standard at best and had far too much sauce on that it made it difficult to eat, it may be worth the restaurant considering how that burger is assembled. My brothers had two of the beef burger and they said they aren’t anything special and they thought it would be a lot better than they had received. We ordered a portion of the salt and pepper chicken tenders and they were the best thing we got as you could really taste how fresh they were however the overall flavour of the salt and pepper didn’t really come through so needed more seasoning on them. Aesthetically, the loaded fries looked really good but the taste wasn’t as good as it looks. There’s a decent selection of drinks you can choose from though so this is a good thing.

Staff were relatively good but I do think it’s beneficial for businesses in England to have staff that understand English as there was a slight language barrier when I asked one of the servers a question about the food and they really couldn’t understand what I was asking so didn’t get a response to my question.

Overall, disappointed in my visit to this restaurant and probably won’t be visiting again but I do hope the restaurant is successful as it’s in a prime Manchester City centre location and would hate to see this unit lay empty, only...
