Another change in the pubscape, certainly not for the better. Went in to watch the City game on Monday night, asked at bar if game was on and was assured it was. Two minutes until kick off, Sky advert channel still on, music still playing. Texted the party I was meeting there and suggested decamping to Fletcher Moss. Cask/keg ale selection pedestrian. Keg especially, in a city chock full of UKs finest brewers the choice is between Greene King IPA and some faux (Marston's?) Session IPA. Utterly uninspiring. The bottle selection is reasonable - some old bottles of Siren and ubiquitous Belgian macro at hyper inflated prices. Why are decent beer and sport showing pubs mutually incompatible!? Beyond all that, the greatest loss the change of ownership has brought is in the atmosphere. The previous incumbents charm was mainly in their resolute lack of welcome and utter incompatibility with the most basic tenets of bar stewardship, but the D&P seems now lost to wander the wastelands of mediocrity until last...
Read moreDon’t go here unless you want to be shouted at by a man . Went here as part of the Didsbury dozen and one of the members of staff specifically the bouncer with thin black circular glasses frames . Shouted at my friends because they were standing in front of the projection screen of a football match . He asked my friend to move and she replied that she was going to get her coat and move . He then just starts shouting at her when she was going to move and wouldn’t stop shouting at her and our friends . Clearly on a power trip or someone that likes to shout at young girls . Judging from the reviews we aren’t the first group of people / young girls to experience this . It’s disappointing that in 2025 you have a staff member on a power trip with young woman . Will not be going in there again as it made me and all the other girls feel unsafe and left some of our friend...
Read morePretty pathetic excuse for a place that serves food and drink. They don't have baby high chairs. Their menu says they serve pasties, but they don't. The chef and manager couldn't even offer some bread to our 15 month old daughter, and we couldn't get her food from outside either. I believed what their menu said and ordered drinks, but when we realised that were lying in their menu we decided to leave. But they still made us pay for the drinks which we didn't even touch, without so much of an apology.
If you're looking for a pleasant experience avoid this place, but if you're looking to be insulted and lied to, by all means give them visit
You have...
