The food we had was nice and we all enjoyed our meals, so decided to try out the desserts. We ordered the “sizzling brownie” and a “cookie dough stack” … instead we were given two slices of tesco chocolate tray bake covered in whipped cream and a bit of ice cream to distract you from the fact you’ve been ripped off and sold a lie. The cake was not a brownie, it was dry and stale it tasted like it had been left opened for well over a week. The cookie dough stack came (didn’t take a picture) and was definitely not a cookie dough… it was two packet bought cookies stacked on ice cream, topped with more of the tesco cake. The cookies also tasted stale and old we had to leave the dessert on the table. When we brought it to the waiters attention he went to ask the kitchen staff who said he had made the brownie, but “sometimes he adds the decorations and sometimes he doesn’t”. Regardless if it is a tray bake or not, this is not a brownie and the cookie dough was not a cookie dough. On top of that, it tasted off, stale and dry. Even though we had complained, they didn’t try to reimburse anything or fix the situation. Don’t waste your money and order dessert from Toros, just go to Tesco which is a two minute walk away.

Been here twice now. Food was decent. I have had better steaks at other places though. The chops are nice. Beef sausage was decent too. The mash wasn’t as creamy as I’d hoped but still nice. The chicken steak was was the best of the lot. Nice and flavourful . The meat came well done even though I did ask for medium. We had the chicken steak lamb steak and the toros special( there is nothing special about it). Like I said before the chicken was the best of those. The lamb and toros special were ok. For starters we had the beef sausage the sharing platter, nachos with chicken and cheesy jalapeño bites. The sausage was nice though over charred , the chicken on the nachos was nice. Tried the mock tails too and they were ok too. Service was good too but things were being mixed up. First time we asked for starters first and the came with the mains. Second time they put the wrong sides on 2 of the orders. But I’m saying that the staff are friendly and do want to help you and give you the best service possible. Will come back to explore other menu items .

Food is very expensive £6.95 for a mojito. I ordered the steak Diane which was nice but smothered in sauce. The creamy mash tasted like instant mash from a packet. My son ordered a steak and asked for medium. The waitress didn't ask how well done he wanted his steak when he ordered it. It was well done and not very tasty that so he didn't finish it. Edit: I came with my son on 15.07.23 for dinner. I thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt to see if food had improved. I ordered half chicken with 2 sides and 2 starters and the ribs for my son. Mash is still from a packet. They got my order wrong and the waitress neelam failed to include in our order my son's order for ribs which we eventually cancelled as my mains had already arrived. Not even an apology for getting the order wrong. The only benefit was there's no service charge which I would have refused to pay if this was added. It was a Saturday evening and only 2 other tables so getting the order wrong on a quiet night is unacceptable. Original 2 stars changed to one star.

*Below is my previous review but since then I've visited and the food took forever to arrive, once it finally arrived it was awful, unseasoned, raw chicken!

I returned the plate after my third bite and explained that the chicken was still raw, the waiter took the plate away and said he would get me another, 15 minutes had passed but nothing came out, it wasn't busy as we went late in the evening so there was no reason for the delay, I call the waiter and told him to leave the food I didn't want it. 5 minutes later "Zara" walked out with a piece of chicken and my previously returned sides of chips and veg! I repeated I didn't want the food,I'd waited so long I'd lost my appetite and my children had already nearly finished eating. Towards the end of the meal.my sons chicken was also raw and I shown this to Zara when she tried to give me that second round of chicken. She took the chicken away and when it came to pay the bill she had charged me for the food I never had. I challenged this and she responded that we offered you another, you should have taken it!Then went on to tell me that I had some of the sides! I went on to explain how they can't charge me for their uncooked food bt she was adamant that this is how they run their business! I'm absolutely flabbergasted! It's not the first time we've been there so the least she could have done is take off that platter!she offered me 10% off, then to take off 1 of the drinks. As this was becoming tedious I agreed, she went on to charge me £54 (and some pence) when in actuality it should have been £51 and some pence. It wasn't even about the money, its about the principal. She then gave me the extra she charged in cash which I gave to the waiter and thanked him for his trouble. Zara is clearly not fit for the job, management isn't about being argumentative with customers it's about rectifying and ensuring that customers are satisfied and return with their business to the establishment- especially when you're at fault for serving the raw chicken! The next day my son and I had an upset stomach which proves that the chicken they served was raw! I will be taking this further through the food standards and/or trading standards agencies so they cannot do this to other paying customers.

*Mediocre, fair price, nice setup and if you avoid the busy period it's a nice quiet place to dine with friends or family. Staff are a bit sluggish, having to remind them for things we had asked for when we placed the order which is a shame because the venue and food is good just the staff let...

Went in with my family and it was practically empty. Gave our order and asked for drinks to be given first. After some time passed about 4 tables filled up and they seemed to all get their food and we were still waiting. At this point we still didn’t have drinks either. The staff had completely forgotten about us and didn’t even think to come over to tell us they made a mistake and somehow lost our order. Instead they were all just staring at us and murmuring amongst themselves Then went on to calling one of the waiters who said he’ll get the drinks but bought all the wrong ones across so I told him this is incorrect. He went back and got the correct drinks and I asked how long will the food be and as I was speaking he walked away. Very very rude behaviour To top it off no one came over to acknowledge us so I went to speak to the so called manager on shift. She didn’t even care and just said she only found out about the matter a minute ago. The place was less than half full so she wasn’t that busy that she couldn’t come over to us and acknowledge what had happened and to apologise. She didn’t seem to care at all and just continued to say our order was top priority. I mean at this point everyone else in the restaurant had their food anyway so ofcourse we were top priority. Decided to leave as I would rather give my hard earned money elsewhere to a restaurant that actually cares about the customers and providing a customer service. Me and my family will never be going...

Could not fault anything about our experience at Toro's Steakhouse. We'd heard good things about this place, both from friends and on social media. We're happy to say it met or even exceeded our expectations.

We ordered the Shredded Beef Tacos and the Buffalo Hot Wings for starters and a T-Bone Steak for our mains.

The starters were delicious. The shredded beef in the tacos was perfectly tender, the spices and herbs were flavourful and aromatic, and the tortilla wrap was soft and delicious. None of that chewy nonsense.

The buffalo wings lived up to their name, both in size and in flavour. Dipped in a delicious hot sauce, combined with the fresh, tender meat made for a winning combination.

And finally, the T-Bone Steak was massive. If you're ordering starters, a single serving of this is more than enough for a party of 2. I always have steak medium and it was perfect. It was easy to cut and the seasoning was on point. Accompanying the steak was some creamy mash, steak chips and a garlic mushroom sauce. My wife and I agree that this is the best steak we've had thus far.

The pina colada and strawberry daiquiri were lovely too. Staff was attentive and our food arrived in a very timely manner. The seating area is great and the decor is very classy. We spent just over £60 on everything, which was very reasonable for the quality and...
