I recently had the pleasure of visiting True Cafe for brunch on the 12th of February 2025, and I feel compelled to share the wonderful experience I had. From the moment I stepped inside, the ambiance was inviting and warm, setting the tone for a truly pleasant experience.

The staff were attentive and efficient, ensuring that all guests were well taken care of. In particular, I want to commend one waitress who truly went above and beyond. She greeted us with a smile, guided us through the menu with insightful recommendations, and ensured that our orders were delivered swiftly and accurately. Her friendly demeanour and professionalism made the entire meal feel seamless and enjoyable.

I was thoroughly impressed by how she continued to provide top-notch service, even under pressure. Her ability to stay composed, kind, and efficient, despite the unwarranted behaviour of a customer, speaks volumes about her character and dedication to her role.

Had a fantastic experience at True in West Didsbury. The food was absolutely spot on – beautifully presented and packed with flavour. You can tell real thought has gone into the menu; everything feels refined yet approachable.

We went for brunch and were genuinely impressed. The portions were generous, but not over the top, and the apple pie French toast was a real standout. The wine flight is a brilliant touch too – something a bit different, and clearly curated by someone who knows what they’re doing.

Staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming – the kind of service that makes you want to come back. The place has a warm, relaxed atmosphere and feels like a proper local gem with a touch of polish.

The service was extremely slow, and the waitress was particularly rude. They took our order incorrectly the first time, which is understandable—mistakes happen. We corrected it, but after waiting an additional 30 minutes, I asked the waitress how much longer we would have to wait. Her response was rude, and her tone was very cold; she claimed that we had just placed our order. I informed her that we had been waiting for 30 minutes, but she was dismissive and unhelpful.
