One of my worst-ever dining experiences, really shocking. Arrived and told to come back 20 mins later. Fair enough, it's their first week at this location. Come back, sat somewhere with nowhere to put my coat other than the next stool. They had the front door open and when the interior door opened, a freezing gust of wind would come in every time knocking the paper placing settings about. Asked to be moved, the server seemed very reluctant and went off. Didn't come back. There was plenty of room down inside the restaurant as well. Asked someone else, who reluctantly agreed to move us to a booth. Lady next to us also complained about the draft. Food: ordered the gluten-free pad thai, which I've had many times at different chain locations. There seemed to be some confusing about this. Meal eventually arrived, lukewarm. Server mumbled something about no gluten or sauces of any kind and scuttled off before I could be sure what he'd said or before I could respond. Food stank, noodles barely cooked, absolutely no sauce of any kind on the food. Just plain noodles with a bit of egg and some under-cooked spring onion. Bland chicken pieces and a few miserable prawns. Asked the waitress why this tasted nothing like what I usually had - she said it was because the shallot sauce was fried in oil that had gluten in it, therefore I had none in my meal or any other sauces. Despite the fact that I've had 100% gluten-free pad thais many times at Wagamama that had sauces and were lovely. Basically said it was all they could do. Asked for gluten-free soy sauce to drown it in so I could somehow eat it. It was gross, I could have cooked something better in my kitchen with my eyes closed, but couldn't reorder as my partner had already finished his food. Really disgusting meal, and not cheap either. Won't...

We normally like Wagamama a lot and have eaten at their various restaurants in different parts of the country. Normally it has been a good experience but quite so this time sadly. This was our first time in Didsbury whilst attending a conference nearby. I had saku, saku duck soba,  and my wife requested a self designed donburi bowl. Both meals were acceptable but not great. My wife's donburi bowl had a lot of cauliflower rice and my duck soba whilst nice, was not really a well balanced meal as there were very few vegetables. Quite a lot of spring onions and some chillies but really something like sugar snap peas or mangetout is needed. It was largely noodles. Also we did not find the waiter very friendly or personable, It just really felt like we were being processed. Furthermore, I scored atmosphere only two stars because we were seated right next to where all of the Deliveroo take out packages were being collected So a little disappointed really and not sure we will go back to...

"Disappointing Experience at Didsbury Wagamama"😔

I recently visited Wagamama in Didsbury with my family, and unfortunately, our experience left much to be desired. We had a specific request for noodles instead of rice on two dishes, but our order was not followed correctly. This left my wife upset and hungry, as her food did not arrive as ordered. Despite asking for assistance, it took an unexpectedly long time to resolve the issue.

Beyond the service, the food failed to impress. The prices were notably high, with (small) two-piece salmon dish costing around £16. This seemed overpriced for what was offered. Additionally, I would caution others to check their bills carefully, as we discovered an extra item added to ours.

Overall, our visit to Didsbury Wagamama was marred by both service and pricing issues. It's disappointing when a dining experience falls short of expectations, and I hope improvements can be made to enhance customer...

I have really terrible experience in you Didsbury restaurant, when today’s afternoon 7:00pm. I was ate some food in your restaurant, firstly I was order one beef ramen and one duck rice. But the chef gave me a chicken ramen. I found it and told the chef it’s wrong one. So that wait 20min more. Secondly, I have order extra noodle for ramen, but it’s ready to my table until we finish our food, it’s spend more than one hour, I don’t know it’s whether really hard to cooking? So that spend one hour? But next, most make me angry things is the employee calculate wrong bill! I just order one ramen and one duck rice, but you let me pay two ramen price! If chef cooking the wrong food, we also need to pay it? It’s your policy? I asked the staff, she said you can’t refund any money! Although it’s your calculate wrong bill, If I have any questions, I must email you if I want return the chicken ramen money!

I wish I could be more positive about the experience... The staff were lovely, so was the decor and the place, albeit busy, runs like a well oiled machine. However, unfortunately, the food just really wasn't very good. We'd both been looking forward to ramen for a while but the broth tasted like a powder soup mix and the noodles had an odd after taste. The pork was lovely... But there wasn't much of it in there at all. Sadly, looked a lot nicer than it tasted. The bao buns were alright but pretty bland. The fresh juice was the tastiest part of the meal. Sadly just disappointed in the food and wouldn't go back here, would much rather go support a smaller local place like Nagoya in West Didsbury or Cocktails Beer Buns and Bao in city centre.
