It was our first time visiting Wing Stop so we didn't know what to expect. We got to the till and we were overwhelmed by the menu options, what to pick, what flavour, what side, what drink... Ruweyda & Aaliya were quick to offer suggestions and personal favourites which we were grateful for! They both talked us through the menu, the different options, my husband loves hot food so Ruweyda was great at suggesting which flavour tasted the best, he wasn't disappointed by her suggestion! We settled on 2 burges, which Aaliya suggested and again we were not disappointed. What I did like is that from the start Ruweyda asked if we had any allergies, this can often be left down to the customer to navigate the menu so it was nice to be asked. Service was quick enough so that not you're not left feeling hungry but not so quick that it makes you think the burgers are sat under a hot plate, chips were hot and well seasoned.
Overall, it was a pleasant visit I think it was topped by the great customer service, it's not very often you visit food places and you are helped and not rushed so we did appreciate this and I can honestly say, had we of not recieved the service we did we would have probably just mumbled to ourselves that it was okay but I think Ruweyda and Aaliya deserve the recognition for their...
Read moreMy 13 year old daughter wanted some boneless chicken pieces from Wing Stop at Parrs Wood today. We were out in the morning so 3 of us went to get takeout at lunch time today. We had been once before, not long after it opened, and the service time was very slow then. It was quite busy on that occasion and they hadn't been open long so it didn't bother me too much.
Today though the restaurant was not busy. The ordering procedure was very slow. I'm not hacking on the single person on the till, but it was very slow. We then waited 30-35 minutes for the food to come out. The menu is limited, the place wasn't busy. I don't know what that says about the kitchen staffing. The burger I had was more or less OK. The wings my wife had looked minute. The fries were hard and bizarrely covered in sugar. Not just a bit of sugar but properly sprinkled all over with sugar. I couldn't eat them.
Sugary fries!! Really. Expensive sugary fries at that.
Much as I like to treat my daughter now and again with whatever takeaway she wants. I'm not going back there. Shakedown is way better for this type of food. Dare I say it,...
Read moreI was really looking forward to trying Wing Stop. Never had WS before but since they opened a new site near where I live I thought go on try them out.
I was surprised, but not the pleasantly surprised in a good way. Firstly the box my 12 wings came in. I opened it and surprise 1: a hair attached to the inside of the box. Clearly too long to be mine. Hoping it hadn’t touched the food. I was already home and was so disheartened I didn’t want to get back in the car to then spend 15 mins discussing with the boss person about how the hair got there. (Pic below for reference)
Surprised 2: the quality of the wings. These wings probably came from a bird that was on a diet. Weren’t juicy as I had hoped and no crisp in the bite. I went for the mango habanero - first time trying and probably won’t again and on the cashiers recommendation the Louisiana rub - tasted like peri salt.
12 wings that for the price and hype I’ve heard I feel for this birds they gave up their lives/ wings for this. Could have been put to better use.
Sorry wing stop Didsbury you aint for me. Good luck with...
